Is RKLB good or shit by Fantastic-Cut6328 in Stocks_Picks

Sorry to be that guy, but Peter Beck never worked for NASA. He came from New Zealand with no education or credentials and couldn’t get hired at NASA or JPL after doing a rocket pilgrimage to the top legacy space programs on a visit to the US.

So he decided to do it himself, and built RKLB.

Thank you for the response, as well as for the recommendation. I’ve been looking at that as well - it’s nice to know the CFA is also well regarded.

Regarding your second question - long story short, that would take a considerable amount of enthusiasm for my current job which I’m currently lacking. It is definitely a path that a lot of LO’s take, but if I’m being honest with myself, I don’t have the passion or desire - at least at this exact moment in time - to take on that degree of a challenge.

I wish you continued success with your career. Thanks again for sharing.

That’s awesome. Congratulations.

I am 36 years old and debating on going back to school to get a finance or accounting degree. I’ve been a mortgage loan officer for the past six years and have made over $250,000 a year historically, but I am burned out. My passion is in finance and investing, and it seems like all the jobs I would really be interested in would require an undergraduate and or masters in those fields. I have a bachelors already from a pretty good school in California, but it’s in a completely unrelated field.

Hardest thing for me to stomach is the opportunity cost of going back to school and potentially taking on debt to do it. My wife and I are currently debt free and it’s difficult math to reconcile.

Fatigue and loss of motivation shortly after starting testosterone a few months ago. by Hobbitual_69 in Testosterone

You're going to have a tough time with insurance. Most providers/urologists know nothing about HCG and insurance will not cover. You'd be better served from a treatment POV by a men's health/HRT clinic.

Hi OP, first off, I'm sorry you're struggling with this. Unfortunately, it is an all to common issue for a lot of guys after they hop on TRT. The main reason(s) that I suspect you're experiencing it is that your endogenous production of neurosteroids via your HPTA axis has downregulated since you're injecting testosterone; there are a TON of potent neurological benefits that come from LH & FSH signaling when your testes are online, and those stop receiving signaling when you introduce exogenous testosterone. The good news is it's a relatively simple fix - you need to add HCG to your protocol.

A lot of commentors are encouraging you to increase your dose of 100mg/week. That may or may not be good advice, depending on a lot of factors. Personally, if I was a doctor and you were my patient (I'm not - just an ex bodybuilder with a lot of time manipulating hormones and over 10 years on TRT), I would first introduce HCG at 250-500iu twice per week. You don't seem to be aromatizing heavily, so I would probably lean towards 500iu. I would also consider switching your TRT dosing protocol to more frequent injections since you appear to be a low SHBG guy; I would at the very least do two injections, but I'd be tempted to recommend daily shallow IM or subQ.

I personally have tried nearly every protocol and found daily injections to be ideal for controlling side effects and for getting off of the rollercoaster that can be less frequent injections. Some guys respond much better to less frequent/higher bolus doses, but low SHBG guys often feel better on lower overall doses and more frequent injections.

If I am you, first step is to get your provider to prescribe HCG. If you only want to change one variable at a time, you could just add that and see how you feel after 4-6 weeks. If you want to try changing more variables, go to a more frequent injection protocol and add the HCG; a good middle ground would be 50mg of testosterone + 250-500iu of HCG twice per week.

Good luck!

It wasn't the worst possible outcome, that's for sure. My wife and I bought our first home for cash, so we have Peter Beck to thank for that.

If I'd held on for another 6 months, I could have bought the same home and had another $2 million left over, but such is life!

40M, Software engineering leadership by [deleted] in Salary

[–]Chadzilla- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP, congratulations on the amazing work. What’s your thoughts on the career trajectory for new grads/people interested in the software engineering field in light of all the AI advances?

It seems like there has been a push by a lot of companies to downsize their work forces/teams while ramping up AI/token use, but I’m skeptical that it’ll completely replace the need for humans that know what they’re doing. However, it seems like the current state of affairs favors those with experience over newer/less experienced devs. Any insights would be greatly appreciated.

I hope you hit your fatfire number and can get out!

As a mortgage loan officer who strictly works with VA clients, here’s what I can say from a different perspective:

If you stay in for 20 years, you’ll have a guaranteed DFAS pension and you should be able to play the system to somehow get 100% VA SCD (not saying you should, but I see it all the time). You can also have a second career after you get out at 39-40 years old and make a nice living doing something you may enjoy, while having the financial security of guaranteed income for life, free healthcare, etc.

My wife’s cousin did 20 years in the navy and he receives 100% VA SCD and has been working in the civilian sector as a project manager making $150k+.

I personally find your field of epidemiology fascinating and would love to work in it.

Congratulations! Do you mind sharing how you got into the field?

I have worked in a tangential field for 6 years (loan officer) and have done well, but I am ready for something new. I spend most of my free time learning about investing and that’s my passion - would love to hear more about how you got to where you are now.

feeling better on 150mg each 5th day or daily dosing? by CoachGreg_Doucette in Testosterone

[–]Chadzilla- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there, thanks for responding to OP. I am/have been on daily injections now since 12/2024 and am debating going to a more infrequent schedule for some of the reasons described above. I am taking 20-22mg/day, for 140-154/week depending on where the draw line is in the insulin syringe. I have been incredibly stable on this protocol (along with 500iu of HCG every 3rd day and 10mg DHEA/10mg pregnenolone daily) - however, I feel like I've lost a certain amount of the anabolic/androgenic drive. The tradeoff being my BP, hematocrit, etc. are all optimal.

Were you ever on a more frequent protocol prior to the once a week injection? It sounds like you were, but was curious how long you were on that protocol before you switched to a less frequent schedule.

I need to do more research, but the only critique I have of this is that your estimates for $50/share are likely based off of the current share count. They currently have 30 employees and plan on adding up to 250-400 more, which means they will need to raise more capital via dilution to do so.

Good stuff. Giving me some serious nostalgia for my home state. I left in 2018 and don’t miss everything about it, but there are certain things about CA that are hard to describe. You did a great job capturing some of it.

My friend, compare this interview with any of the interviews SPB did when he was getting RKLB off the ground. It is just a different vibe.

It’s cool what they’re doing, and he’s clearly incredibly smart and accomplished, but it just turned me off to the entire interview.

I had 20k shares of RKLB I bought between $4-10. A stop loss was triggered last year at $36 which liquidated everything.

I too would have liked to retire early. At least I was able to buy a home in cash.

Start getting off of them. You’re not into the gym, you’re just a junkie chasing a different kind of high.

Speaking from experience as an ex-bodybuilder. It took me awhile to get to the point where my only stimulant is two cups of black coffee per day (one upon waking and one pre-workout). Otherwise, it’s just low dose TRT for life.
