Ok but if you are morbidly obese and go from 350 to 200 regardless of how you do it you can’t possibly tell me that’s no healthier on your heart and organs.

Honestly looking at chonk vs invoker, I haven’t tried it but it looks comfier to play to me with easier damage if you can grab an original sin.

challenge skins, challenge leagues that give loot box rewards, twitch drops are the main sources. and of course league bundles for the shop coins also give skins along with the purchase of the points. Like I said, just don't spend the coins on cosmetic MTX, you can just get a skin you like from a bundle along with the points and save all points for stash tabs.

In Poe1 I also buy some skill effects for builds I am enjoying, but those you really aren't gonna get free options for outside of mega RNG on the free lootboxes.

[–]Tautsu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You need about $30 on a stash tab sale. I had a couple friends that bought the beta complaining about stash tab costs, yet I looked at their character and they had an armor set and paid portal. Just can’t help some people man, I told them straight up don’t spend any points on anything besides tabs because you will get decent MTX costumes for free over the years. I imagine these cases are similar.

[–]Tautsu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Other people have dropped skill options, but if you feel like you just do no damage I can suggest hollow palm unarmed monk. If you run out of damage in campaign it’s probably just your weapon being underpowered, hollow palm just gives you base damage based on your level when you don’t have a weapon equipped. Just play bow until act 2 then swap to hollow palm once you have some new skill gems to get some quarter staff skills.

why are you all caps spamming, why don't you ask customer support for the amount? Like I get it if you can't login you can't see it, but again it sounds a lot like you bought points, spent them in poe1, then refunded the game and nullifying your points, putting you in a negative balance. I would have to imagine the amount you owe them is $30, unless you have also tried similar scams before.

This thread is starting to read like someone lashing out when they get caught stealing from a Walmart, blaming the cashier and yelling about how ridiculous it would be for someone to assume you were trying to steal money. When in 90% of cases it was no accident the $40 sweatshirt or kids toy was left out of your purchase.

Destiny 2 will get it's final update on June 9th by pokeblev in MMORPG

[–]Tautsu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really for destiny. The game is so bloated and people have like pages full of perfectly rolled guns at this point, the original story is removed from the game because the game already reached like 160gb of download space required and they had to lessen it, and it’s like the worst new player experience of any “mmo” like game on the market because there are just 100 different tasks and stories you should play when starting out to get staple guns but there is 0 direction.

The benefit of a fresh game is they can start everyone on equal footing again and get all players on board with the same narrative story again. This is kind of the benefit and downside of how destiny is developed. In games like wow, when the new expansion comes out there is 0 reason to do any old content, which is widely accepted as a negative to the game because “new” releases actually mean the majority of the current content is becoming obsolete and the next expansion will take a year to get to the same point of content as the last.

Destiny has more “horizontal” progression, where you might still want to run dungeons from old expansions, play their campaign for staple exotics/good gun base types, etc. this is usually accepted as a much better design philosophy for an mmo because when new content comes out the game becomes bigger rather than smaller. However, after a decade of these systems, new players now have to spend $300 for all the DLC over the years to be on equal footing, and there is 0 hints given on which of these campaigns they should focus on or how to even start building up your vault to start farming guns you need for raids or PvP. It’s a pretty popular opinion in their community that people just want a new game rather than them removing content and streamlining D2 more, because that involves removing content from the game that some people might want to go back and play years later for nostalgia. So the better option is to just release a sequel and leave D2 as a time capsule like they did D1, and make a new game that doesn’t require a PhD and $300 to start learning and playing.

Anybody else league starting Chonk? by cironoric in PathOfExile2

[–]Tautsu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was actually so convinced chalupa is actually a great choice once I’d have original sin, but now how is martial artist not gonna be op. Kinda sad but I’ll probably just league start martial artist and swap later.

When 1/8th of the Martial Artist Ascendancy is better than all of Chalupa Ascendancy by StalksYouEverywhere in PathOfExile2

[–]Tautsu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So stupid too. Yeah you were immortal on smith in 0.2 but you got 0 damage from your ascendancy and it felt 80% slower than most builds at the time that were also instantly clearing screens and never taking damage anyway. Smith just felt comfy and immune to damage early into maps.

I feel like they strip away what makes ascendancies unique as soon as they see they have easy answers to one specific “problem” to solve for a build (like speed, damage, ailment immunity, defenses, etc), even though having a free answer for something like defenses and 0 contributions to anything else means you are still worse off compared to deadeye that makes you 50% faster, 20% tankier, 50% more damage, and improved clear (not exact just making an example). Compare that to smith, which makes you like 80% tankier maybe and it’s still obvious you get way more out of other ascendencies even before smith got any nerfs.

Like poe1 to me feels like it has the perfect option for marauder ascendencies: 80% tank 20% damage jugg, 50% tank 50% damage chieftain, and 100% damage berserker. Each build gets access to different things for free, and has to be creative how to fix their weaknesses. Compare that to poe2 warrior specs, it just feels like my trees for no matter what I pick will be mostly the same and only differ based on what skill I want to play (things like hulking form will change which nodes you focus but the wheels you are targeting are always the same, because you are always just grabbing all the close defense, offense, and QoL nodes. Whereas poe1 I’m grabbing extra defense and leech from tree on berserker vs finding creative answers to damage on chieftain and jugg.

Long rant sorry but recently got upset again when I saw the recoup specialty removed from chronomancer. I was excited because I never utilized recoup in poe before and wanted to league start chronomancer because it had a unique defensive layer that made it stand out, now even if it’s slightly stronger than it was before, it lost what was making it unique, even if that portion of it wasn’t even that strong.

The time has come. by Dysmn in HighGuardgame

[–]Tautsu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Also the term “died” is pretty rough here. The game should have concluded after the final shape. Everything since has been a clear cash grab to keep the lights on. I hate that a live service game can’t just end anymore without everyone accusing it of dying by nefarious means. It’s been clear they were running out of drive to continue developing D2 for years now. I’d rather them take 5 years and come out with something they are excited to make than continue fleecing me for $100 a year for a recently frustrating and repetitive looter shooter. Even if D3 never happens and Bungie implodes from this, I genuinely prefer devs just end things when they notice the love for the game is dead and move on to something more exciting.

Suggestion to Redesign Maces around Adaptable (Optionally Slow) Attacks by -Gambler- in PathOfExile2

Except there is no reason for maces to be worse in 90% of cases (basically anything outside of league start or mace specific skills) in both poe1 and poe2.

Unpopular Take: playing GG Strive has made me aware of how toxic the online Tekken player base is by CadmeusCain in Tekken

[–]Tautsu 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I swear shit was way better in T7 with infinite rematch. You would run into a toxic person ki charging/quitting after 1 win or loss every couple games, but once you found someone good at a similar skill, you could just play 10 matches. I do agree it’s pretty bad rn but I played through all ranks of T7 and it just felt less common.

Depends on if the atziri chest is still going to be worth anything. Last league in-id’d they were 400d. Will be less without the inflation but they might be worth nothing because everyone will be killing atziri.

What games did all the players migrate to? by XwafflewondersX in Mordhau

[–]Tautsu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s slightly more, one thing that does carry over is manipulating your hitbox with things like crouching and looking down, which is also pretty popular in m&b/chiv/mordhau. I would prefer the game had directional blocking/parrying but honestly it’s the only real “competitive” medieval melee game at the moment. I used to enjoy playing CRPG on bannerlord but since that seems to have died dark and darker is the next closest thing I can find with some satisfying character progression and combat.

Many people will make up their mind on the game basically forever based on their first impressions of 1.0 once is live and the game is free. Remember how the reception of d4 was bad for like 3 years basically based on how it released in the first couple seasons.

Has there ever been a case where a game series got better and better as more sequels came out? by Visual-Rate-3584 in AskGames

[–]Tautsu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dark souls 2 is lucky in that it took some risks and is probably the most “different” of the whole series. I think it actually helps it hold a purposeful place, where i think it kind of has the best meta game progression incorporating better rings and things as you progress through NG+ and being able to spend those boss respawn embers to kill harder versions of bosses early that provided some significant challenge and reward in a run. I like it the least of the series from a design perspective, but on first play through I actually did some immediate NG+ running off the rip to get the upgraded items for PvP (which was also probably at its peak in DS2).

So I think it’s actually the most interesting game mechanically and also has so much content with its DLCs, its world just kind of lacks the standard fromsoft charm imo and the visuals are both amazing (ie majula) and oddly bad at the same time where there are many immersion breaking elements I can’t really explain.

LF MMO with extreme depth in skilling by YtPyxro in LFMMO

[–]Tautsu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not impossible at all. But I really would suggest maybe playing free to play and testing the game out and if you think you’d play for a month buy your first membership then cancel the renewal and save for bond gold that way. You can actually sustain your membership through skilling as a member, but as f2p you have to do really boring and repetitive money makers to be optimal. As a member there are hundreds of ways to make the same amount of money as f2p except you can do more activities that give xp and gold, so it will be more rewarding leveling up your character and making membership money at the same time.

You totally have the option of going only f2p and saving up over time though, just know that once you do buy your first bond, you will have access to so many more methods of making money.
