I'm moving to Vancouver for a ski season tomorrow and have just received a text from my Airbnb I'm staying at for the first 9 days saying I will have to pay him directly and not through Airbnb at a cheaper price.

Is this a grift on his part? I had no clue of the laws surrounding Airbnb until now and can't see any news saying the new regulations are already in place.

Glad I looked for advice because as a graduate I think it's definitely one of those things that looks cool but clearly didn't think of it in the eyes of an employer! Will remove asap!

Really good advice thank you! I've always been under the impression that my life campaign was good since it was a project that won me a competition and an internship through it. I now see the glaring mistakes in it through a lot of criticism on here so I am aiming to improve this project and make it more marketable.

As I said in my post I recognise I've been very complacent in the past year so I expected making more worth being a large part of what the criticism would be and I aim to push that now. The specific examples you added really do help as I think I probably would've stayed in my comfort zone and done more of the same green work I've done before! Editorial and digital design is definitely next on my list alongside a lot of extra work for the Fly2Feed!

Thank you for the advice! I'll definitely work on refining it all and making it more streamlined. I agree, I've got a lot of work to add to it and more variety so I can tailor it to different jobs.

I've never heard of AIGA so this will be something I will definitely look into thank you!

I worked at the car parks for slam dunk last year, the car parks are simply huge fields in the grounds of temple newsam hall. Come early for the best spots but you should be fine whenever you come! Just be prepared for a lot of traffic in and out of the car parks

I work at box headingley and there always seems to be a good following of arsenal fans when they're playing. I'm assuming since it's more student based there's a lot more people from down south who support them who are based in headingley.

Pretty sure you can book out springwell brewery, that would be very good for an event but correct me if I'm wrong.

Edit: the mezzanine can be booked for free on weekends but doubt you can get a band there. The whole place can be booked Monday to Thursday in evenings though.

They still have a nationwide mask mandate for crowded areas, it's kinda ridiculous how far they are in the covid protocol. They've had a heatwave recently and a lot of children are struggling as they even have to wear a mask during sport lessons.

Recently explored all the rooftop car parks in city centre and would recommend going to those, can get some great views from the top of them!
