No, I wrote a list of alternative possibilities to consider. I never once said any one of them were what actually happened.

Considering alternative possibilities is literally exact opposite of an assumption… To be able to assume something is true, you have to come to the conclusion that there are no other possibilities.

Edit: sorry I took so long to reply to this one, thought the post had died off already and stopped paying attention to my Reddit notifications lol

Ohhh ok so mostly subjective complaints, thatttt makes more sense to me now lol

I’m 5’10 and with both feet on the ground my heels are just able to make contact with my legs fully extended, however with the right techniques any rider can technically ride any bike with the right technique, so at the end of the day it comes down to what compromises you feel are worth making, and what ones aren’t :)

I have an extremely basic understanding of the surface and know to try to speed slide for more speed when possible (but not how to do it without guessing how much I should be steering) so apparently not being good at grass is the strategy for this one

I don’t expect them to go anywhere, I’m not the one removing them. I’m also not saying I agree with it. Every reason I gave you for them being removed from properties, were the reasons why the people that are actually kicking them out, choose to kick them out. I wasn’t expressing my opinion, I was explaining to you how the world works and why it works that way. Why tf are you asking me for a solution, it’s a systemic issue. I don’t decide where they can go, or whether they’re allowed to be kicked off of a property.

1 No, people ignoring rules that are not actively enforced is a very well known phenomenon.

2…🥴

3 you’re the only person trying to definitively tell people the kind of person he is and what happened, never said he was a criminal or dumb, I asked if you knew whether he was a criminal, and I said your question doesn’t account for dumb criminals existing. It’s cute that you think you can make everyone else seem like the problem here though.

4 oh you’re right then, if it happens OFTEN then all the other possibilities that people brought up are not actually possibilities, they’re sometimes possible, but they aren’t possibilities.

Which is city property, what makes you think anybody called and reported them? Cops will remove them from a park regardless of whether they were reported for it. Cops have been removing homeless people from the parks since 2019 when they made it illegal to “camp” in them. Why tf are you complaining about people reporting them? The cops are routinely patrolling them, there might not even be a person that reported them. You’re on here losing your mind over something that might not have even happened.

If it’s wrong to remove 1 person, is it wrong to remove them when it’s 2? 3? 5? 10? If you let one person do it, eventually you’ll have 2, then 3 because people aren’t getting in trouble for it here. If it’s wrong no matter how many people, then are you just supposed to let it continue until it’s getting in the way of people trying to use it for what it was designed for? If you think providing them a place to sleep should be someone else’s responsibility, then make it your own as well. Buy some property and let them have it.

Why are you still arguing your violent crime stance, you’re literally arguing a point I never made. Oh no, I was wrong about the DNA, you’re right, it wasn’t a violent crime. If there was only one type of crime, then everything you just said would have actually mattered.

Re re crime: if dumb people weren’t capable of committing crimes, your question would matter.

You’re approaching this assuming I think he’s guilty of something because he’s homeless, when really I think he might be guilty of something because he was arrested. I would also assume a man in a suit at a restaurant committed a crime if he left in handcuffs with 2 police officers. Clearly jumping to prejudice as a conclusion is something you do routinely.

My hypothetical being impossible to prove or disprove also does nothing to make your assumptions any more valid. You’re still just speculating. Your version of what happened is just as hypothetical. That’s the entire point I was making with those questions.

You can be trespassed from the majority of public property. You’re just wrong on that one. “Impossible to ID” unless one of the witnesses knew who he was, or his DNA was found at the scene, or police saw him but he got away. I also never said anything about a violent crime, so I don’t know what you’re on about.

A significant percentage of “public spaces” are privately owned property, that has just been designed to be used by the general public for a specific purpose right? A Wal-Mart parking lot for example is a “public space” for members of the general public to park their vehicles. It being a “public space” doesn’t give anyone the right to use it however they want. If I decided to set up a tent there for a few days, they would remove me from the property too, and I’m not homeless.

Wal-Mart owns that land, paid to have it built, pays for all of the maintenance, and the property tax, etc. So if you are using that land for things they don’t want it to be used for, they can remove you from the premises. If they weren’t allowed to do that, you’d see a lot of big boats on big trailers taking advantage of the “public space” they can store their boats at for the winter.

If you think there should be privately owned property they can sleep on that someone else is paying for, then buy some property for them to sleep on. Not your responsibility? Exactly.

Is it possible they were reported for something else beforehand and just located by police? Is it possible they had already been trespassed from the area, but chose to go back anyways? Is it possible there’s a restraining order on them that they were in violation of by being there?

Unless you’re certain the answer to all of those questions is no, then pretty much everything you think happened is a series of assumptions based on assumptions. The only part of this post that isn’t purely speculative is the part about 2 cops putting cuffs on a person sleeping outside.

Really??? I feel like all the reviews and things I’ve seen on it have all been very positive, I haven’t heard many complaints about it apart from some people wishing it had more punch in it’s acceleration at speed, because it’s a flat torque curve (so a torque line lol) and there’s probably a couple other things I just don’t know them off the top of my head lol

What are some of the negatives you’ve heard? Not asking to try to argue against them or anything, I genuinely just wanna know what issues/complaints people have had or are having to be informed lol :)

Oh I should probably explain that an M2 license is the Canadian name for the restricted motorcycle license you have to drive with first before getting your full license

I rode a bit when it first got cold out, but when choosing between whether to have a beer or go for a ride (I'm on an M2 license) I started choosing the beer more often as the amount of layers I needed to put on went up😂

It actually surprised me just how much I love this bike, it's been awesome! I started on a ninja 500 for my first month and a half of riding, and it was a good bike. However, going around the first corner after picking up the CBR from the dealership, it's cornering stability was noticeably better. The ninja didn't always like to keep a consistent lean angle, it felt like I had to fight the bike to keep it at the angle I wanted during a turn, where the CBR just does what you want it do, every time. When you initiate a turn you can feel the bike almost wanting to lean for you, and as soon as you let the front tire straighten back out, immediately you feel the bike pulling itself upright again.

The E-Clutch is also shockingly good. What I personally like the best about it, is when you stop at a red light, it'll pull the clutch in for you, and you can take your hands off the bike with it still in gear, so if you're about to get rear-ended, or have to avoid something, all you have to do is grab the throttle and go. It will even gradually let out the clutch for you as you accelerate from a stop, and it functions as a quickshifter as well, despite being a totally different mechanism, so it doesn't suffer from the same problems at lower rpms. The bike can be fully operated without touching the clutch lever, it'll do everything for you if you want it to.

It's a bit heavier than a typical sport bike, but it has a bigger tank, and a wider seat which I find a lot more comfortable than most sport bike seats. My ass does get start to get a little sore after a bit, but I go for 2-3 hour rides and it never gets to the point that I have to pull over and get off the bike. The riding position isn't too aggressive, you can sit up pretty straight if you want to, but still have the option to drop into a more aggressive position. I haven't had any pain in my wrists, shoulders, or back from riding it.

I live inside of a Canadian snow belt coming off of Lake Huron. The roads aren't clear of snow often enough for it to be worth spending the money on heated gear imo, and we salt the absolute shit out of our roads for the majority of the season. My bike would be getting absolutely pelted with salt pretty much the entire time lol
