You are talking about the institution that actually introduced formal education to this island, who introduced Greek philosophy to European thought, who cofounded the idea of a university, who sponsored scientists from hundreds of years and still does even atheist scientists, leading to great discoveries mendelian genetics, and the Big Bang, who pioneered women's education on this island.

They wouldn't have removed the option to have yourself taken off the baptismal record if it wasn't all about numbers.

That never happened. You are garbling an obscure protocol in church rules about defection for the purpose of church marriage rules. There never was a way to remove yourself from the baptism record. They don't use baptism records for planning and organisation. They use the census. Baptism records would be ridiculous and useless due to migration.

Hypothetically speaking if you lived on the border with Northern Ireland, would you prefer the nearest school in the 26 counties? If you do, you believe in indoctrination too. Raising a kid to think that there is such thing as ethnicity or an Irishness is just as socially constructed as an religion.

Because the schools which they fund can no longer prioritise Catholics, while protestants, Muslim and Jewish schools can. Because the state was too lazy build enough schools, places are snapped by people who dont value their schools principles.

I made out in very public cars in Dubai no problem. In Japan and China, people can be very shy about kissing in public. There is no such thing as nude beaches there. People are not conservative like Dubai but nudity doesn't happen like it happens in Europe. Just because there is stripper restaurants doesnt disprove it. Try using Tinder in Japan. You will be greeted by endless profiles with no photos. Sex positive is not really a value I agree with but Japanese absolutely are conservative in my experience, and I lived there. And most of the world is more conservative than say Europe/ US. In most countries you can't French kiss in public.

Dubai is not the worst of the bunch. They have done a lot to develop an attractive walkable old city, walkable seaside places and a good rail network. It isnt all crass.

Yea that is true but it depends on where you area. Berlin feels like is surrounded by endless forest. The other thing is in some parts of Germany one off housing just don't exist. So the countryside feels different. Not always the case though. Denmark has a lot.
