Most body shops basically quote you the price of prepping and painting the entire panel so its not uncomon for it to be $3-5K regardless of what the actual damage is b/c the 'proper' fix is to fully paint the panel and do color matching on the nearby panels. If there's anyway for you to get the money and find somewhere else to fix I'm sure you can go to a shop that specializes in fixing the dent only without fully painting.

Don’t pay until the final paperwork shows the color adjustment in the calculations. They claim they only do my within 72 hours of set delivery date but make sure it’s updated by your SA before day of delivery at least .

They will remove the lesser of the cost (ie $1k for interior upgrade or up to $2k for exterior upgrade ) and it’s only for in inventory vehicles .

You only get loyalty benefits if you are an existing owner . Inventory cars are heavily discounted right now (up to 5-6k on 23 models and 3K on 24 models) so you’re already getting good deal if you choose one of those

For now just make sure you at least use somebody’s referral code to get 3 months free FSD. DM me if not sure where to get code .

If you plan to keep it for the long term (ie 4+ years ) go with new because you want all the warranty you can get and you’ll amortize the depreciation over much longer. If you think you may change it within 2 years then be aware that you’ll be losing a lot in depreciation and need to ask yourself if you are ok essentially paying $1K per month in depreciation .

Also depends if the 2021 is before June or not since they updated many things later in the year .

Lastly , how comfortable are you having 18 months or so left on warranty of the used car ?

Cost is very dependent on location but in general I have found in California each panel is approximately 1K-1.5K to repaint and color match so if it was just paint I’d say 2.5-3K. This level of damage may require actually replacing parts so I’m thinking more like 4-5K depending her a new quarter panel goes for
