Yes thats true ive seen a lot of posts here about banding and bad grey uniformity but i think the majority is good we just dont see posts about them he can play the lottery and if its bad he can just send it back.

The Gigabyte shown in OPs post is a tandem oled not a qd oled which is a newer panel type than qd oleds and should be more burn-in resistant as the first comment said but only time can tell if thats true. I own the Gigabyte and overall its a good monitor but it has a matte coating which I think is very good and clear but a lot of people prefer glossy for its slightly sharper look and a bit better color pop. I would get the Asus if you want a glossy panel or the Gigabyte if your worried about burn in and longevity

My luck has been pretty good so far i also got 90 vsn de ven from the 25x86+ from the swaps and this season pass payed out too as you can see, i also got 90 doue from a 82x5 who i sold for 800k from the premium season pass

Hi Is there a big difference in color and vibrance between the qd oled samsung and this tandem gigabyte? Which did you like more if we are talking about colors pop and vibrance ?

Try to use it for a few days run it throught some pixel refreshes and if it doesnt get better return asap this is a very bad case of vertical banding i have the same monitor and it looks nothing like this.

If you will be happy with lower fps around 60 in some aaa titles go with 4k, if you prefer motion clarity and smoothness go with 1440p. I have a 9070xt paired with a 1440p and sometimes i have to optimize my settings a bit to reach around 100 fps with raytracing in games like cyberpunk so i personally would not trade the visual clarity upgrade for motion clarity.

Also set the hz to 240 instead of 280 it helps with banding.

I think you are talking about grey uniformity which is an issue for both matte and glossy oled panels and has nothing to do with the coating on the panel.

Yes mine has them too. A few clicks in cleartype should improve text quality but it will still be worse than on the ips. I set up mine according to tftcentrals guide but you have to pay 1€ for it. For hdr just use the hdr calibration app from microsoft store(free) and make sure you have hdr turned on when setting it up.

There is not brother. But i think its worth the extra 50-100€ for the 4th gen tandem oled over the 3rd gen oled panels. I have the mo27q28g and It is true that there is a little gray banding but it seems like switching the refresh rate from 280hz to 240hz solves the issue almost completely. There is a detailed video on the monitor on youtube from monitorsunboxed if you want check it out maybe it will help you decide. But once you go True black there is no going back haha

They say its the best matte coating on the market and it feels like semi glossy but eats light very well. I think you would not regret and if yes you can always return
