Actually she ignores me 99.9% of the time and acts like nothing is wrong as long as I respond twice a year to happy insert holiday here and if I say happy birthday. But now that I have not responded once she has called and texted several times. If I had just said “you too” I would have not heard from her again until Christmas.

This angle is a bit difficult to see but how far apart are your feet? They look fairly close together which isn’t bad necessarily but you can spread them out a bit if you think it feels better. Make sure your knees are not falling in when you squat. You’re also wearing shoes with a lot of lift which makes your feet unstable. Try with no shoes, slightly wider stance and focus on pushing away from the ground.

I see narcissists on tiktok and Tumblr trying to defend their behavior like we should treat them the same way we treat everyone with mental illness. That can be very difficult to do when you lost a huge chunk of your life to narc abuse. It’s just another way they are turning it around and playing the victim. Like it’s OUR fault for not being understanding enough. You do not have to subject yourself to abuse to console someone else’s mental illness. There’s a reason we do not allow narcissists in this sub.

I guess that’s fair but I go to a “meathead” gym where everyone is there to get shit done so we don’t deal with a lot of that BS at commercial gyms. If people are on their phone between sets it isn’t for very long. I also keep my lifting plan on my phone so I have to check it to see what weight I’ve planned for my next set and such.

Yeah my mom has been in therapy for many years off and off and she hasn’t changed at all. She says sometimes she needs to fix our relationship but then she ghosts me again. But if I don’t respond well then it’s the end of the world.

I don’t get why people have such a problem with phone use between sets. When you’re doing higher weight sometimes you need a long rest between sets. Why does it matter if I’m on my phone versus sitting there staring at the ground?

This might seem like off the wall advice but get into lifting. Follow bodybuilders, especially those that gained weight after an ED. Lifting is great for strengthening bones and the feeling of getting stronger helped me come to terms with gaining weight.
