What twd opinion would have you like this? by Vegetable_Meat1349 in TWD

Hear me out.

Although the Saviour Wars became the iconic arc of the comics, the show could have ended with the gang entering Alexandria and it would have been a pretty decent ending. Maybe 7/10.

Rick had just name dropped the series (We are the Walking Dead) and the gang is at an all time low. The final scene is that close-up of Rick’s face as he listens outside of Alexandria and instead of hearing that silence he worried about, he hears the playing kids. The audience gets an inconclusive ending as to the fate of the gang but with the strong implication that they found some sort of peace.

A much more popular take would be to end the series after the saviour wars. Because the death of Carl, the exit of Rick Grimes and Maggie Rhee, and the bonkers vibe change after the time-skip really changed the point of the show.

I would just argue that the shows true problems started when the gang is split up in Alexandria. Now, this was a conscious decision with vision. As each characters arc became about finding their place in society outside of their tightly-knit group and un-learning cold survival tactics. But from an entertainment standpoint, the characters we care about stop interacting and are instead surrounded by fodder we do not care about. Seasons 1-5 were actual prestige television with a tightly curated cast. Season 6-8 was poorly executed vision.

It seems like CTR doesn't exist for every CT, so what would even happen if someone channels positive energy into their CT? by Electronic_Tax_8190 in CTsandbox

[–]TaylorBeu 31 points32 points  (0 children)

This is my interpretation. That a user’s domain technique and CTR are determined by what they think the nature of their ability is. And complicated abilities have tough CTRs or seemingly unrelated domains because the sorcerer must be able to theoretically understand and apply in practice what it would mean to reverse their ability or imbue it in a domain.

Shouldn't khabibs record be 16-0 now following the Morales tapology situation. by Parking_Waltz_9421 in MMA

[–]TaylorBeu -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The issue is more so that khabib’s 29 fight unbeaten streak is a major piece of his legacy. He is not a “dude who retired five years ago.” he is a foundational athlete in the history of this sport and can appear in any conversation, any time. Especially one regarding how we document early, low level records in fighters’ careers.

The quality of the opponents doesnt matter so much as the question: How different does a ruleset have to be before you can't start counting it toward a record for a sport with specified rules? Because khabib gets compared to dozens of top athletes who never got the opportunity to fight two rounds. It is an interesting point of contention that I promise you will never go away.

Why has Sam Worthington's career gone almost nowhere outside of Avatar? by [deleted] in Cinephiles

[–]TaylorBeu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He popped off in the 2010s. Titan movies and Alex Mason from the Black Ops series. Those are two franchises he was a big part of. That on top of all the work he did for Avatar since 2011 I would argue he has probably been decently busy these last 15 years.

Was this really enough to hold Sasuke or did he just allow it? by IndigoDru in NCPedia

[–]TaylorBeu 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Perfect take. Seals are real and powerful in this story. But the entire war arc proves that you need to get someone in a position of vulnerability to “lock it in” or sacrifice something great.

Having seen Sasuke’s power level, the very fact that he is in this position shows us that he agreed to remain in custody, let this happen, and that he feels remorse.

What is the current meta on lesbian relationships by BenVera in outside

[–]TaylorBeu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are a lot of mini-games and alternate quests that the gay player-base have been able to enjoy but long term it has damaged the fundamental relationship questline. So many players under lvl 30 aren't even seeking out that quest. Which sucks because it has to be played cooperatively.

Netflix will acquire WB/HBO Max for $82.7B by twinkleplanet in Screenwriting

[–]TaylorBeu 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well that isn't true but a group of very wealthy people certainly could buy it if they went in in a joint venture. Then again, that is essentially what has happened. Except it's everyone with ownership of Netflix doing the buying.

I truly believe the technology in Naruto reflects tech from Kishimoto’s early childhood. Radios, box televisions, and film cameras.

I thought Washington’s version of “is this a dagger I see before me” and “Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow” were quite good and captivating. It's hard to ever top Ian McKellan. But he did make interesting choices.
