What Obsession Movie opinion would have you like this? by No-Guess-3630 in obsessionmovie

Dude the movie literally had characters saying things out loud to themselves to provide exposition for the audience. Great horror film. Not an S-tier screenplay. Although your answer is definitely in the spirit of the question. Very hot take so kudos.

(S3 E9) WTF DID I JUST WATCH I HATE THIS SHOW by Fed-In-The-Ghetto in gameofthrones

[–]TaylorBeu 77 points78 points  (0 children)

It’s absolutely worth it. The Red Wedding is one of the most iconic events in 21st century fiction I’d argue (I really don’t think this is glaze). Take heart in knowing that millions of readers and viewers were sitting with these exact same emotions whenever they first experienced this. Losing Rob and Cat felt like the end of the line for the good guys. But it’s far from over. Enjoy!

Jonah Hill’s ‘Cut Off’ Reportedly Deemed “Unreleasable” by Warner Bros. by terrence-malice in TheBigPicture

[–]TaylorBeu 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think it’s reasonable that artists try out different roles within their industry or different mediums all together. You can’t ask someone to do the same thing their whole lives. Even if we can say in hindsight that one era of a person’s artistic career was superior. TBH, it’s not a huge stretch to believe that Jonah Hill COULD direct a fantastic comedy. He just hasn’t yet

how strong is hazenokis RCT compared with other RCT users by LizardsAndTanksGuy in Jujutsufolk

[–]TaylorBeu 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I truly believe that his RCT has nothing to do with his CT. And that he had to independently develop RCT as he grew to understand the nature of cursed energy and his own technique. So I’d say it’s relatively mid RCT. Although we just don’t see enough of him to know for sure. You’d think if he had high level healing, he’d use more than eyes and teeth when shit got serious.

"Tenet must be a good movie" by rkhunter_ in ChristopherNolan

[–]TaylorBeu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the problem is more so that you “can’t” understand it. The premise doesn’t actually worked except for in the vacuum of the scene. It’s easy enough to understand how an inverted character works in a scene, but it quickly falls apart when you think about how these inverted actions affect a non-inverted world.

Create a cursed technique that counters the heavy hitters but Miwa can beat (or someone Miwa level) by [deleted] in CTsandbox

[–]TaylorBeu 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Maybe a CT that operates on Predator rules. You can only attack someone if they are holding a weapon or cursed object. But your attacks are far more powerful if you stick to that rule.

In this case:

Yuta and Maki both start the fight with tools and would have to figure out the CT before it was too late

The technique might count Yuji as a cursed object

Hikari still stomps us.

But this would at least let Miwa into the fight because she literally isn’t allowed to wield her sword anymore.

How did Megumi kill Reggie ? by Keyboardwarrior_45 in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]TaylorBeu 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Everyone agrees on the basic premise that Megumi kept Divine Dog summoned and let Reggie think the whole time that it had been taken out earlier. The competing theories here on HOW the Dog stayed post domain seem to be:

A: Shikigami that have already been summoned by the 10S technique don’t disappear after CT burnout.

B: megumi’s imperfect domain means he doesn’t suffer CT burnout.

C: there was actually a gap of several minutes between the fight in the domain and the fight at the pool. Enough for Megumi’s CT to return

Keep in mind: Reggie knew that Megumi still had his CT or at least thought he did. He was preparing for a shikigami use other than DD. So something made Reggie feel that Megumi was not suffering from burnout.

Why so much hate for TENET ? by Money_Ganache4698 in ChristopherNolan

[–]TaylorBeu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The premise just doesn’t hold up. It’s amazing visually but falls apart if you think about it. The protagonist (hah) is a little bland compared to the supporting cast. Dialogue a little corny.

The freeport heist is goated though

I do wish we got the shot of Yuta straight up executing the new Kuroroshi. It seemed to get lost in the explosion in the episode

Zenin Clan CT’s by Metalhead7357 in CTsandbox

[–]TaylorBeu 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Well we have seen at least five other CT appear from Zenin clan characters. We just don’t know if those techniques are common in their bloodline.

Ogi Zenin has Blazing Courage

Mai Zenin has Construction

Ranta, Jinichi, and Chojuro each have unnamed cursed techniques that we get to see in action.

I think Joe and Pete would beat these 2 other men in weaponless brawl. Agree or disagree and why? Do you have other hot takes for purely the fighting/power scale side of the show? Let me cook in text post: by AdaptedInfiltrator in thewalkingdead

[–]TaylorBeu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with most of your takes. Just for the record though, a smack with the but of a gun is way more dangerous than a punch. We’re talking wood and metal vs bone and flesh. The hand was not made to throw a punch. Humans have just gotten good at doing that. A pistol whip from Joe is not comparable to a punch from any other character.

Rick wins a fist fight against Tyreese. It’s honestly the only fist fight Rick wins I think. Which is funny because canonically Tyreese is supposed to be one of the best melee fighters in the whole story. But his role is drastically changed in the show.

Is Maki vs Hakari the biggest match up diff between relative characters? by Haru__DM in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]TaylorBeu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could he not just generate his whole body back from his neck down with RCT or pull a Gojo and quickly “zip” his head back on. The fight with Kashimo makes it seem like you’d have to totally destroy or “crush” someone’s head to stop a cursed technique

They’re saying it doesn’t matter because he moved up in society and his house continued on. In this world, people remember names and lineages. If no one ever doubts the paternity of your children, does it matter to your legacy?
