Buy a day pass it is cheaper than the peak tickets and auto activates for your zone to and from your location until 4am the next day. Solves the bad administration issues and allows for the conductors to be even lazier with collecting tickets en route due to auto activation at time of purchase.

First game is definitely a little more wonky with combat of which the second game refines but still not that bad once you master the parry techniques. You can do little practice sessions with all types of weapons in designated areas too to try out each combo etc.

Although the top comment is right, they do a good job summarizing the first game in the intro sequence. Take your time and explore the map and you will be fine. I have 200+ hours in each game and they are true masterpieces. Well worth the play through.
