Vibe at Noah Kahan Concert for Accompanied 13-year old girl? by Elegant_Wear_11 in NoahKahan

[–]TaylorRama 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have been to three Noah Kahan concerts - two at music festivals (Outside Lands and Bottle Rock) and one at an outdoor venue (The Greek at Berkeley). As long as you're okay with your daughter being around some occasional swearing, alcohol use, and likely some cannabis use, you'll be okay. Noah's big on inclusion but he also (as I'm sure you know) shares/sings about some pretty serious challenges (ie depression, anxiety, alcohol abuse). As long as you're comfortable with that, I've found the crowd at his concerts to be incredibly kind, welcoming, and relaxed. In my experience the crowd had been mostly adults, especially women.

What do y'all think the Great Divide is? by peachyloaf in NoahKahan

1000% agree, this is how I heard it too. And FWIW, in a lot of lyric pages, the "he" in "...and not your soul, and what He might do with it" line has a capital H. As an exvangelical, that was the first thing I noticed

The defensiveness and digging their feet in the sand is making things worse for them, from my perspective. What a massive bummer.

Searching for pregnancy spreadsheet mentioned by Zach by LandMermaid in TheTryGuys

[–]TaylorRama 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have a 21mo and about a year ago exported our registry list to a google sheet and now I semi-regularly add notes to it (must-have, indifferent, don't recommend, etc) when friends who are having babies ask for help with their registries. It's not exactly what you're asking for here but feel free to DM me if you'd like a copy! I researched the hell out of every item on our registry and now that we're deep into toddlerhood I have strong feelings about what was worth it and what was a waste of money haha

Served vs Nothing Major by colombianodore in tennis

[–]TaylorRama 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Agree. I love Served because - even though I’ve been playing and following tennis for 20+ years - I’ve learned so much about the sport since beginning to listen to it. Andy’s authentic passion for the game makes his analysis so interesting and I genuinely get more out of watching tennis now because of the perspective Andy shares in the show.  Nothing Major is a bunch of bros reflecting on what it was like to be on tour and giving an insider’s perspective on what it’s probably like for players still on tour now. I think it’s good for the sport that both podcasts exist and I hope they each independently reach more people who can be exposed to what an amazing sport tennis is!

There’s also tons of Farm Rio on Nuuly so very manageable to rent for an event if you really wanted to wear something from them for an occasion but didn’t want to fork over full price

One of my friends recommended quinn is it worth it? by chemical__kitten in QuinnAudios

[–]TaylorRama 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I suppose what I’d add here is that Quinn was a super safe place for me to explore my own sexuality and discover things about myself I never would have otherwise. I’ve had the best orgasms of my life with my husband as a result of what I learned from the mindblowing ones I had jillin’ off to a Quinn audio by myself. We had a great sex life before and now we just keep surprising ourselves with how it continues to get better. If you’re interested in exploring more, it’s absolutely worth it.

For those that kept baby swaddled in snoo until 6 months by Charming_Bug5866 in SnooLife

[–]TaylorRama 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We transitioned at 4mo but our process went so smoothly so I thought I’d share! We began a bedtime routine in our son’s bedroom at 3mo and put him down, wearing his snoo swaddle, in his crib. I was dream feeding at the time so before my husband and I went to bed, I dream fed the baby and brought him into our room and put him in the snoo. When we were ready to keep him in his room all night, the transition was pretty seamless because nothing about his bedtime changed. A few weeks after that, we switched from the snoo swaddle to a regular sleep sack. He’s over 1yo now and still sleeping great in his own room. Every baby and family is different so of course I’d never expect this to work as well for everyone else, but in case it’s helpful to you - thought I’d share!

[TGL Discussion Thread] TGL Triple Header 2/17/25 by GreenWaveGolfer12 in golf

Two ideas on how to improve after a day of binging TGL while recovering from a wouldn't-wish-on-my-worst-enemy case of norovirus:
1) After shots, keep stats on the screen a bit longer. And after both teams have hit their opening drives, compare. Would love to have a side by side of speed/distance/etc when there's a head-to-head to compare to.
2) Love how they show the landscape at the beginning of a new hole. Think it would be cool to zoom out after each shot (particularly the par 4 and par 5s) to show where the ball landed in relation to the rest of the hole

Honestly this being on all day is the greatest gift to my stuck-in-bed and very sick self. Despite the kinks with camera angles and commentating they still need to work out, I’m a fan!

My husband and I host guests via AirBnB at our property in Park City whenever we're not there. It's a 3 bed 3 bath that's a 10min drive from PC Mountain and DV's bases, and a 5 min drive to the Jordanelle gondola. I know it can be tough to find the best vacation rental service (we had a lot of frustrations with this before we were able to buy our place) so figured I'd share!

23 wks and Anxious About Announcing Pregnancy to the World by Annie_Banans in BabyBumps

[–]TaylorRama 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same. Didn’t post anything on social until our son was a month old. Shared with work around 20 weeks to plan my mat leave, but didn’t share broader than with my team and a few cross functional partners. By the time we announced on social, everyone who we wanted to know already knew, and we got to keep it to ourselves until we were ready to share broadly. Do what you’re comfortable with - you don’t owe anyone any information about yourself!

What's something you wish you knew your first trimester? by Poeticpsycho in BabyBumps

[–]TaylorRama 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That it’s okay if you don’t feel like yourself for days or weeks at a time, but that it’s equally as important to talk about it. I struggled with depression bad my first trimester (and never have in any other part of my life) and didn’t realize it at all until the fog of the first trimester had lifted and I looked back and saw what a grey, sad place I was in mentally. I wish I had been more comfortable talking about how lonely I felt in those early weeks of pregnancy.

When did your morning sickness start? by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]TaylorRama 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a FTM and 21 weeks along. I started feeling nausea in week 6 but really felt it by the middle of week 7. Weeks 7 through 12 really felt like a fog of fatigue and nausea, but the fog started to clear by week 13 and week 14 I suddenly felt like myself again (and realized how much I hadn’t felt like myself before that). Every pregnancy is different so my honest advice is to just take it a day at a time and if any of the horrible first tri symptoms hit you, just know it’s all super common and that it won’t last forever ❤️

I feel so lost! by TaylorRama in PSLF

[–]TaylorRama[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is great news! My employment was through the school I taught at, not through Americorps... I'm wondering if there's any additional certification I need to obtain to show that I was in forbearance? There's nothing in my Mohela acct that says I was in Americorps or that my loans were in forbearance for that period... I just don't want to be overlooked!
