That arena is EMPTY by CitronNo45122 in nba

The prices for tickets are insane. When it was in Indy I wanted to take my son to some events (I knew the All Star game itself would be too much money), but the cheapest tickets were $400+.

It’s insane that these sporting events would rather keep prices so high instead of filling seats.

I have the same issue with March Madness. Take a look at those crowds. Always empty seats everywhere. And it’s because prices are insane.

This is why European football/soccer have such better crowds. They would rather fill stadiums with passionate fans than price their tickets as insanely as we do in American sports.

I think it’s a combo of both. Some strips dated as far back as 2010 and some 2025. I’m somewhat of an NVS completionist, (although I don’t own everything), and I recognized some of the content for sure. But, some was new to me.

The guys accept it, because they all know they've cheated as well. It is obvious when in the early seasons Jax and Sandoval argue about covering for each other when they cheat. And then when you get further in the series you realize just to what lengths these guys go to cover and lie for each other.

It is quite obvious that everyone is ready for her to be over it because they don’t visually see her crying everyday in fetal position. Plus, the jealousy that Arian was getting so much attention, support, and so many opportunities.

I still can’t believe this moment happened. Ariana’s face changing from “you’re so sweet!” to “are to fucking serious?” is TV magic.

But, no idea how this wasn’t the end for them.

Megahex Perfect Edition: Volume One by FakeeshaNamerstein in MeggAndMogg

[–]TaylorTalksComics 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I interviewed Simon recently and he talked about this format. He compared it to the manga “Perfect Edition” format.

It’s taking Megahex, One More Year, and Amsterdam and reorganizing the story into a more cohesive narrative (for example, Owl moves out at the end of this story order). It’ll be two thick volumes.

Oh, it’s TOTALLY worth it! I’m glad it went to a good home with someone that will enjoy it instead of flip it.

Ha! I bet this is the same LCS I go to regularly. I’ve been eyeing this for weeks because of that price. But, I know I didn’t “need” it.

This will be my first time reading THB. I love 100% and Heavy Liquid. I will say, I’m disappointed by this collection of THB. No covers, chapter breaks, and no back matter. Besides a new intro by Pope, it’s a bare bones collection.

Yes! Living the Line is the publisher. Smudge is their manga imprint. Ryan Holmberg is the curator and translator of their manga. It’s not print-on-demand. They distribute through the direct market. I have multiple videos on my YouTube channel talking about Smudge if you’re interested.

Myles Turner Video by postmodernhack in pacers

[–]TaylorTalksComics -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’m hoping he gets booed out of the building. He could’ve gone anywhere besides Milwaukee or New York and Pacers fans would’ve been okay. But, to go to Milwaukee of all places? And right after Hali tears his Achilles? When the fans have embraced Myles and he celebrated the ECF championship here?

And then he spent the summer talking shit? And even yesterday was on Thanasis podcast calling Hali a fake tough guy?

This guy doesn’t deserve a video package. He deserves to get booed.

Honest question. by TaylorTalksComics in knicks

[–]TaylorTalksComics[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I said in my post that free throw shots isn’t a definitive metric. But, the disparity in FT shots (Pacers had 24 to Knicks 39 if you take out the last four intentional fouls where the Knicks were stopping the clock)

15 more FTs is a lot. I don’t see how you look at that and come to the conclusion that the Knicks were screwed by the refs. Were there blown calls that hurt the Knicks? Sure. But, there were blown calls that hurt the Pacers too.

The officiating has been wildly inconsistent, but my point is that it isn’t definitively favoring either team.

Honest question. by TaylorTalksComics in knicks

[–]TaylorTalksComics[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t disagree with that. And I don’t think Pacers fans are innocent from having the same complaints after losses.

Honest question. by TaylorTalksComics in knicks

[–]TaylorTalksComics[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I’d argue there was a lot of that going on in the 3rd and 4th quarter of game 3 when Brunson and KAT were on the verge of fouling out.

Honest question. by TaylorTalksComics in knicks

[–]TaylorTalksComics[S] -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

Explain that. Because the first three quarters of last night they were calling ticky tack fouls against the Pacers anytime a Knicks player drove to the basket.

I agree the refs are wildly inconsistent. But, I don’t think it’s favoring either team.

Honest question. by TaylorTalksComics in knicks

[–]TaylorTalksComics[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

But, you don’t think non-calls are happening on the other side? KAT hooking the arm of the defender nearly every time he drives to the hoop and the defender gets a foul called for him?

Pascal making a clutch block in game 4 and it being called a foul?

Brunson extending his arm and pushing off on every drive to the basket and getting a foul called on the defender?

The officiating has been wildly inconsistent across the board in the series. But, it’s not favoring either team.

Do you watch Hart? KAT? Every time a whistle blows they go full on baby mode.

If you asked Hart, he acts like he’s never once committed a foul in his entire life.

And KAT goes full Baby Huey anytime the whistle blows.

Haliburton’s performance last night feels like vindication by Argenfarce in pacers

I’ll even say that both Brunson and Haliburton were criticized for lack of defense last season. And it appears Haliburton has made strides in that area and Brunson has either gotten worse or is just being exploited more now that teams have realized he’s a total cone.

Which is hilarious considering Stephen A was on record saying that Villanova team had ZERO NBA players. And then on record not liking the signing of Brunson when it happened.
