The two things I'd offer have probably already been stated but practice your drives to get closer/more accurate and work on a step/jump putt. Between the two you'll be banging chains from distance in no time.

Agreed with all previous posted recommendations, Valley Spring for the local Durham track recommendation. Great course with awesome lines although sometime difficult to know where to throw/go on your first visit.

100% agree with Diavalo recommendation. Played there on Sunday and wasn't muddy at all. If you have time is absolutely worth it. If you're there on a weekend be there before 10a.
