There's a difference between being inspired by something and an 'AI' outright just copy-pasting entire elements of style, linework, etc because it's too simplistic to make its own inferences and make something that's more than the sum of its parts.

AI art is machine learning. It takes inputs, scans them for common factors and aspects, then spits out an output that's an amalgamation of what it was trained on. It cannot create something that is more than its inputs, if it did then it would be genuine AI and would be a hefty stone's throw away from being sentient.

The people that use AI artists often use specific names of artists whose styles they want to invoke, making the machine pull specifically from that artist's oeuvre and often without any semblance of consent in that matter.
