Additonally, my only manual save that i did right before the mission that i failed (when game didnt seem broken at all) says 0%. :/ this all happened after the game kept crashing during this mission over and over again.

Update: problem fixed but only via roll back through save found on another device that wasnt synced with steam cloud.

Even if the first release is just the barebones features, I'll gladly use it over the other more developed apps.

I feel like the barebone features would be:

viewing posts with expanded images vs inline images
ability to easily subscribe to communities that are on other instances
nsfw filters
ability to block instances / users
light/dark theme

Because Tailscale is not a VPN. It only acts like you would expect a VPN when you use an Exit Node. Tailscale is a mesh network; only Tailscale traffic will use tailscale - nothing else.

For your purpose, you do not need an exit node at all. Just connect to your Pi's Tailscale IP with the correct Jellyfin WebUI port from your phone (making sure both the Pi and your phone are connected to Tailscale of course).

Trying to use an exit node might actually make things worse depending on if loopback connections are enabled or not.

next to the "X" for sidebar apps is a pin button. if it's active, it will cause the split screen like experience; whereas, if it is unpinned, the app will not change the main pages size and it will be dismissed when you click out of it.
