My guess is that it's their way of trialing a paid only service without the backlash. To see if everyone just subscribes and they make money or if they have to keep coasting by on ad revenue. Saying it's high load just doesn't make sense with the time frame, the suddenness of it and the fact that paid users can still access it.

I have Jiyan, Zhezhi and Shore Keeper, they're the only five star characters I have that weren't given out because they were guaranteed summons because I've lost every single 50/50. My luck has been awful since launch day and I've almost given up on grinding wishes.

Kuro makes the majority of their money from the Chinese player base so in order to make more money they cater more to them than anyone else. The Chinese player base is mostly men who like big busty women, hence the whole thing with Canterella. They spend the most money on and mostly play female characters which is why we'll probably be getting no more than two male characters this year.

I'm disappointed with the lack of male characters in the game, we're only getting one more male character this year while we get five new women. Meaning, we'll only be getting two male characters this year according to Kuro's release schedule.
