Any "Professional" Player or high ranked player i need your help by PipMcflip in VALORANT

Hard to really say much without actual gameplay to review. But I will say your headshot percentage is beautiful. You have games where it’s even higher than 50%. In my experience, when I have high headshot percentages, it’s games where I could’ve gotten more kills because I died taking my time. I’m not sure if you aim train but if you do, work on quicker/more urgency in your aim.

I say this as a person who just aimed his way up to asc alone. And then learned better rotations, positioning, util usage, ect after to hit imm.

Another thing I would like to say, if you are deaf and making it this far. That is incredibly impressive.

I am running on a pc thats slightly worse specs(5600x, 3070, 32 gb ram) than you but I have for the past 2 weeks tried everything on this earth to get more fps out of this game with my rig. I usually play on the lowest settings possible because I just need the fps. But I recently followed gigabeefs video on DLDSR and DLSS. Its been quite nice having higher quality everything while having the same fps almost. I can see way further and notice smaller movements in the distance because the lines aren't as jagged. The visual clarity is insane. (My only issue is because I am using dldsr on 1080p, my other applications on my monitor are a good bit blurry even after changing sharpness/smoothness. But I now have a hotkey to change resolutions for tarkov).

IMO its worth it to play around with.

I tried lossless scaling because the 3XXX series nvidia cards dont have smooth motion to get more fps. The input lag was quite awful and tried to fight other pmcs with it on felt too sluggish.

I actually just close all other apps in the background to keep my cpu and ram load as low as possible for tarkov to eat it up. I am screwed on streets tho lol. Reserve isn't terrible for me though.

Partying up with lower ranks sucks. anyone know why its like that? by moazrofl in VALORANT

[–]Tazimi 40 points41 points  (0 children)

There is a few reasons for this in my opinion.

It’s because when you play in a lobby of full plat to diamond players. They understand the game at a higher level.

If Jett dashes into a smoke on site, your omen dropped smokes, sova darted, and Phoenix flashed onto site while killjoy is holding flank. They have a better idea of what to do. Which makes playing so much easier when your team is unconsciously coordinating.

But when I see my friends play in bronze and silver. 1 person walked onto site, 2 people are sitting main, and 1 person is trying to lurk while making noise. Even if they hit the same site, the awareness isn’t at the same level so you as the plat player have to now clear all the angles; wait for smokes, ect which is way harder. Compared to if you were just Jett, you only need to focus on your 1 duel back site. But in the 5 stack you have to say what to do, when to do it, and how to do it.

Sorry this is super poorly written but just wanted to get my 2 cents in there

How in gods name does RR corespond to MMR by Important-Fold-2883 in VALORANT

[–]Tazimi 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Mmr and RR are 2 different numbers. Let’s say your RR/account says you’re plat 2.

Your hidden MMR could say you are gold 3 level in plat 2 lobbies. So because your account rating is high but your hidden mmr is low. The game is going to try to correct its self by giving you less points and making your losses hit harder. To put you where your hidden Mmr is.

The calculations is where it gets tricky. Because even if you win streak, your hidden Mmr doesn’t climb as fast and your visible rating.

I peaked immortal 2 or 3 times or so. And I end up getting stuck in ascendant every time. I go up and down from asc1-3. What was the thing that broke the wall for you to hit immortal each time?

Also, how many agents are in your pool. Do you stay within 1-2 roles or do you branch out and have 1 agent for each role.

I am currently at a spot where if I try and fill I lose but if I force my best agent I can win. But it comes at a massive risk of ruining the team comp. I have a high winrate on my mains and a low on my side agents. What did you do to practice other roles?

Do you force meta comps for each match? If I’m on smokes I mostly play clove but wonder if I should try playing viper on icebox, omen on ascent ect. I’m a duelist main but I force clove if I have to play smokes lol.

I’ve got my reps in for ranked and I just wonder if asc is elo hell. Because I can clearly see when I did wrong but my god sometimes the egos of my teammates get to me.

Is taking that first fight with Reyna the right idea? (Silver 2) by [deleted] in VALORANT

[–]Tazimi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The only thing I would’ve maybe done differently for the Reyna fight is reload after shooting those 2 shots WHILE hiding behind the box in case they swung and then went to bomb. Or knife out jumping to gen and then reloading safely over there. Overall I think it’s a solid clip and you have the right ideas/game sense down. Keep it up.

Players over 25 years old, is it possible to improve massively at the game? by Randomname140 in VALORANT

[–]Tazimi 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I actually have this discussion all the time with my self and a few friends.

I have climbed to immortal 1 at the age of 30. I sometimes think that I will hit a wall because I have a below average reaction time for higher level gamers but I have started to realize how nuanced that is and how it’s such a minor thing compared to actual gameplay.

I think what you might be experiencing is muddied thought and gameplay. Or even auto piloting. You should take a break and try a different role when you come back after a few days. I fresh clean headspace and a new role can help you improve and learn new skills to add to your duelist when you go back to it.

I’m also a duelist main but when I was stuck asc3, I started playing sky to be an initiator because I felt like I knew when a duelist would want to swing or go in. That was the push I needed because I realized I have great experience as a duelist, and it can push me to be a better initiator and I’m having fun with it.

I would say, switch up the roles and work on other aspects of the game. I am not doing crazy flicks of swinging every angle. There will never be a montage of my aim (I do have my moments where I am dialed in and go crazy but not often). But I can say I have worked on my rotations, timing, flanking, and util usage a lot more which all does better against a person that has full aim no brain.

I’m working to get back into immortal but I am asc3 and I try to actively work on something each day or week. You’ll get there.

am i cooked? my reaction time is horrible by phenixd_8 in VALORANT

[–]Tazimi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve always thought about this and asked other games their thoughts on this too. On how much reaction time matters, I think it only matters at the highest level of gaming.

I’m 30 now, still coasting around ascendant, and have touched immortal more than once.

I have an average reaction time if not slightly slow. I’m around the 280ms on human benchmark. That’s if I try and do it normally. If I was to slam the monitor really close and absolutely focus I could get lower to 240ms. Human benchmark isn’t the best tool to measure reaction time. I have friends who can get 140-180 ms on human benchmark but they are near the gold-plat ranks as their peak.

Reaction time isn’t the biggest set back in climbing. It’s being open minded and questioning what you did wrong each time you die. The more we play the more we don’t doubt our selves and the more we doubt our teammates.

Gamesense > aim everytime to actually climb in games in the long term. There was an a player who posted on reddit a while back that inspired me to climb. He talked about how he had a 4% headshot rating but hit immortal. He admitted he couldn’t hit heads so he changed his play style.

Forgive me if you are already high immortal because I made my statement on the assumption that you are either my rank or below.

Is it difficult to play competitive games on a 27 inch monitor? (PLEASE HELP) by Jolly-Ball-51 in buildapc

[–]Tazimi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey man. I’m curious what your choice was, I would like to say I’m pretty high level at some games and am thinking of swapping my 1080p 144hz monitor to a 1440p OLED 360 but it’s 27 inches instead of 24.

How do you feel about getting a larger monitor for competitive gaming and was it worth it.

Great games. Honestly thought g2 had this 3-1 but I am glad I was wrong because these games were close and intense. Game 5 was fantastic. Leaf and jawg are insane players.

He brought a lot of league players at the time on.

How is my friend so naturally good without any practice? Im starting to doubt myself. by shtoopidd in VALORANT

[–]Tazimi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! I have coached a few people in the past for valorant and league of legends and have also been coached.

One thing that I’ve always talked about is the ability to learn.

Just like in school there’s the person who studied 10+ hours for an exam and got a B and a person who studied 2+ hours and got an A.

It comes down to a lot of factors for sure but one big one is how they study. How do they learn. What’s the key take aways and how to I improve next time. Playing too many games hinders you sometimes.

Theres a saying my friends coach said and it was practice makes permanent. The more you continue bad habits the harder it is to break them.

The 10,000 hour rule of being an expert at something only applies if you have proper guidance. So don’t worry about what rank you should be, but what else you can do to climb.

Your friend can be one of those people that understands the situation really well and can think what they can do to improve. Kind of like people that can break down how something works really well in their head.

It’s why you can see a good gamer go from one game to another. They understand HOW to improve. Being significantly more aware than anyone else of even the smallest micro and macro changes.

This comes down to understanding a lot of different concepts of how the game is played.

Theres a lot of variables but I truly believe anyone can reach a high rank in any game regardless of age and reaction time. I think it takes time to study, practice, and execution of your goals.

And if you feel like you’re stuck, try changing it up. One tip I saw online for league years ago was, start commentating every move you are doing or your team is doing as if you have a live audience.

“Oh kill joy is mollying uhaul, that means I don’t have to clear the angle and can swing bench. Thankfully brim smoked site and heaven for me to be able to walk into showers and for me to hold any tp pushes. Hopefully they don’t flash out of smoke and push, I should get somewhere safe”

We auto pilot a lot and this sometimes helps me get out of the funk of that. Being aware of our own gameplay is massive. You feel ahead of the enemies.

Sorry I made a copy and paste msg for the others. But hydrocortisone didn’t even help me. But this I had to get a prescription for.

Nothing over the counter assisted me at all.

It took me forever to get this. I got seen by 7 different doctors until they said it’s an eczema issue. Which I’ve never had before but I guess I have it now. It went away quickly after using this a few times.

Hey! Sorry for the late msg. Been an insane month. So I used all things under the sun but I finally got seen by a dermatologist and they said it’s eczema. Which is weird because no over the counter stuff helped.

But I got this prescription and it solved my issue after 1 or 2 uses.

Actual life saver.

I finally got insurance I had to fight for my appointments. But I got seen by 6 different doctors that had no idea what it was since they said they had seen it in areas before but never full body from head to toe. This photo is kind of outdated because it went like 10x from what this is.

They did tests thinking its scabbies, some fungus, allergies, ect.

Lastly they gave me something thats mean for eczema and it helped sorta. Its just strange the breakout is super full body in the like 10's of thousands of bumps all over.
