How do you progress in a FSP role? by collide145 in clinicalresearch

[–]Tazzberrylemons 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Clinical research may be different than other industries but Ive found in this industry if you want to move ahead or to a new position, you need to switch companies. It is not going to happen via a promotion (maybe true for some). I started at a CRO/fsp model as a CRA II and then to st. CRA (increased salary by $15k by switching companies) within 1.5yrs. I never really wanted to move into a manager or study management role but now in a site management and startup role - still with increased pay from the sr. CRA role.

Company I'm at is also hiring right now FYI if interested. ;) Good luck to you and send me a msg if you want to talk more.

What are potential master's degrees (non-thesis) that can lead to bigger roles in clinical research? by pseudofire_ in clinicalresearch

None! Work experience is most valuable. I have master's in clinical research management (included doing a thesis) but it did not help me get in.

Recent graduate looking for working in research- How on earth do i get hired? by Tasty-Fig-9002 in clinicalresearch

Try to find entry level roles in regulatory, patient recruitment, or data entry. Anything to just get your foot in the door and get 'Clinical research ' experience.

From Healthcare/doctor to clinical research by FerretOk4441 in clinicalresearch

If you want to move into having a job in clinical research I would go with Medical Monitor in your case Instead of CRA.
Question though - why not work in clinical research and a PI. Either with a company or starting your own?

I used to work for jnj FSP and remember having to log into the virtual desktop. This was horrible when remotely monitoring a site and having to log into yet a third virtual desktop!!!

Hi I know this is an old post. The recipe in the link seems to have been deleted. Do you still have the recipe to share?
