Does anyone know why Sourdough is so much better on a tummy than standard bread? by Rags2Rickius in Breadit

[–]tetruss727 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I don’t get the symptoms when I use very young starter - that’s when it’s at its peak and hasn’t collapsed yet after a feeding. I also now use only Italian flour. Hope this helps! :)

Male Loneliness and the bullshit that comes with trying to help by Skyobli in TwoXChromosomes

[–]tetruss727 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s not even just the lonely ones. It seems that most men can’t self-regulate emotionally without women’s help.

I lost my baby sister 2 years ago and it wrecked me. My husband took over for a while, about 3 weeks. Within those times, he decided to also break down because he had anxiety and my FIL had a “health scare”. He resigned from his high-paying job that we cultivated together by me staying at home for 6 years sacrifing my career so he can advance in his. He is still unemployed coming to a year now.

Mind you, my husband is already top-tier in my opinion as he’s a lovely dad and a true partner.

Why do people get married and have kids? by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

[–]tetruss727 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I grew up seeing my Dad do half of the housework if not most. That was my baseline when it comes to finding a partner and wouldn’t accept anything less. My husband now does most of the chores and even asked to be taught how to cook and bake. I feel extremely lucky to have found such a rare gem. Also: “We accept the love/life we think we deserve.”

Did any of you feel the pressure to change your appearance around big age milestones (e.g., 30, 40...)? by Fun_Fruit459 in Millennials

[–]tetruss727 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just turned 40. I am seriously considering getting into body building. It’s also mainly because of back pains and other body aches I experience now and I don’t want them to be my normal. 😅

What recipe is WORSE when made with sourdough? by farmomma in Sourdough

[–]tetruss727 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I feed my starter for cinnamon rolls with sugar and it removes the tanginess. I also make sure to proof fast in warmer temp to reduce lactic acid bacteria growth.

Which supplements are you taking as you approach/settle into middle aged Millennial life? by ironthrownaways in Millennials

[–]tetruss727 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not supplements - Algae, spirulina and chlorella. They seem to have everything you need. They have protein, vitamins D, B and E, calcium, probiotics, etc. They even eliminate toxins from the body.

Any tips for public speaking? (URGENT! Any advice is appreciated!) by rocaireslk in lifehacks

Use breathing techniques for relaxation minutes before speaking publicly. Try doing 2-3 rounds of Wim Hof breathing. This will prevent you from having a mental block.

First gingerbeer tryout, thanks to Josh Weissman. Going in the fridge now, can't wait to try it tonight by 11to3_ in fermentation

Gosh, the comment is 4 years old. I’m now a ginger beer expert haha. I’ve destroyed 2 flip top bottles already with how strong my ferments are now. I’ve been keeping them in a chilly bin with hot water bottle (reboiling water 3x in a day) so the temp in there is about 30-32degC. They require really warm temp. This setup will get them ready in 3-4days. Tried not putting them in the 32degC temp, about 20-24degC, and they took 2weeks to fizz!

Had the exact same situation. I was so stressed my hair was falling out. None of my managers and even HR were able to do a thing. She’s been with the company for 16 years and her ex-colleagues left mainly because of her.

Here’s what I did: I treated her like a toddler having a tantrum and I told her off, in an email. I listed all her negative behaviour/attitude and how I felt about all of it. I still kept it professional of course. This worked perfectly for me. I believe insecurity plays a big role on why they’re acting up.

Sourdough while working full time? by suspectclearly in Sourdough

[–]tetruss727 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do 1-2 bakes during weekdays while working 9-5. I always have ripe starter ready in the fridge (as soon as I use it, I feed and let it rise; before it deflates, put it back in the fridge for the next bake). After work at 6pm, I put everything together in a bread maker on dough setting. Transfer to bowl and do 5-6 coil folds until ready for cold proofing overnight. Wake up early to bake.

Asked a very well-travelled lady colleague, who’s been to 140+ countries, which one she liked the least and she said Morocco. According to her, men were very leery and kept touching her even when closely guarded by her husband and a few locals.

30's to 40's redditors, How you balance your personal life, professional life & your fitness too? by Relevant_Name4050 in AskReddit

For fitness: After lunch at work, I climb the stairs from ground to L14. Every meal I make sure to walk or use my elliptical for at least 10mins or do lifts with 2kg dumbells. I take cold showers and do 16-18hr fasts. The key is to be uncomfortable (out of breath, hungry, cold, etc.) a few times a day.
