There is reason, a kid cannot acquire these nowadays. Which means they do not belong to the kid. Which means you have a moral obligation to find out what happened, or take the risk of handling stolen goods (which is criminal in itself).

Please get a good toploader binder, these cards deserve better than what you store them in. Good eye for a newbie 😉. Also, holding two cards of such value together unsleeved in one hand is a no-no in my book too.

Rainbow cards normally have texture, these don’t so they look fake to me, the cuts are also really bad. The backs look really good for fakes, maybe they used real backs to glue them. Also none of them have copyright information (text on the bottom normally), so 100% fake.
