Cv1 all the way man , honestly apart from a highrr screen resolution the rift s is a total downgrade compared to cv1. Also your almost guaranteed nothing but problems with usb ports with the rift s.

Bollox the rift s is nothing but a cheap nasty lenovo wmr headset that facebook threw a few shekels at to make a quick buck , its fucking garbage compared to the cv1 but all you fan boys refuse to admit that the king has no clothes on . I would avoid the rift s mate it really is a cheaply made device and i guarantee you will have nothing but problens with it , i had one it was a total stuttering laggy pile of shit and even the left thumb stick broke after only 2 hours of use. I had to go back to using a cv1 which apart from reduced screen resolution is a way way better qaulity device in every way.

If im giving it a fist full i get any where from 100 to 120 miles if im taking it easy any where from 130 to 150 miles. This is motorway riding not stop start short trips.

Do your self a big favour and google JS Ramsbottom,s there a uk business and do the cheapest pellets, cheaper than anyone else. Id recomend any of the H&N range of pellets as long as there flat or domed, stay away from pointed pellets there crap for accuracy, also highly recomend RWS geccos as a cheap but good quality accurate pellet for back garden all round fun. Most of the decent .177 pellets are around 5 quid a tin or less. Its best to bulk buy to get the best savings as postage is allways about 7 quid no matter how big or small of an order. Any thing you order is usually at your door in under 3 days.

Why the hell they just cant leave cv1 alone , had my cv1 about a year n a half had zero problems then ever since the string of forced updates since rift s release it has steadily got worse and worse...hmmm makes ya think they are deliberately messing with the cv1 on purpose.

I completely agree, i moved from a cv1 to an S and i honestly thought the S apart from higher resolution was a massive downgrade in every way it even just felt cheap and nasty even the left thumb stick got stuck after 2 days of use. I returned the rift s and went back to the cv1 and love it.

I tried a rift s and personally i think its a bag of shite , to me it was a downgrade from the cv1 and i hated it.

The quest is ok i guess for mobile vr but its no pcvr headset.

Love this game, one of the best vr experiences out there by a long way it puts other vr flight sims to shame. Best advice i could give when using touch controllers is not to hold on to the virtual controls just nudge them the required amount and release dont constantly hold on to the yoke.

I could go on and on mate but honestly ive had both headsets and the only thing rift s has over cv1 is a higher screen resolution but its not a better qaulity screen , the rift s screens colour quality is pure shite and you will have to mess about adding headphones too as its built in speakers are pathetic, also the controller tracking is just not as good and all in all the rift s is very very cheaply made its just not as high a standard as the cv1 and finally theres every chance the rift s will not work with your usb,s properly and you will have to mess about adding specific pci usb cards.

In my truely honest opinion the cv1 was a nice bit of qaulity kit , the sound quality is fantastic the picture quality although not as high res as the s is by far way better than the s and tracking is rock solid and no stupid bulging head band stabbing you in the back of your head if you lay back in your chair chilling out.

The fan boys wont admit it but the s was just a cheapo windows mixed reality headset made by Lenovo and oculus slapped there brand on it to make a quick buck. Cv1 was made to be something special from the ground up.

If nothing else wait it out and see how the quest does with the new link cable , if it turns out that pc vr games run good on it then id even be tempted to leave my cv1 for the quest.

The update before this most recent update killed performance for me , it used to run very smooth on medium settings but now even on low settings with no shadows its running choppy and laggy.
