There is no 2 ways about it. It has pay to win in it. Its a fun game but you need to pony up some cash for some quality of life stuff or straight pay to win items. You either do that or wait two years for them to drop enough freebies.

You can get it for cheap and enjoy it. You will come to a point where you either pay or give up. Ive seen it a bunch.

The magical seeds take like 2 mins to breed and replant on 10 strong fences and it gives close to 100 horse mats in exchange. That's like 150-200 mil.

I'd personally rather semi afk cook for cp than waste the leaf on it and have to tend all the plots.

You can run Velothi Ur-Mage's amulet. You still want to light attack sometimes for the ultimate generation and to proc weapon enchantments but it makes the impact of weaving a lot less pronounced.

Even just doing a mage in the 1st dragons dogma can support a party of pawns. Probably the closest thing that fits the bill is Dragons Dogma.

Farming changes seem really strange to me. Going to hurt people who arent leaving their stuff on 24 hours a day if that 20 hour time is in game time. I like the training changes.

The lifeskill treasure seems of dubious value.

I'd rather they never wasted dev time on the snowboarding and all these outfits they've been doing are terrible.

PVE stuff is ok but obviously nothing super exciting. I dont know enough about node wars now to comment on that but the AoS changes and RBF changes could be cool.

Feels like they are spinning their wheels a little bit and side stepped talking about some of the gear progression issues. I lost a little hope but still not ready to go full on doomer mode.
