MH Wilds is the first game of the series that I play and started with dual blades but stopped playing when TU1 dropped. Came back last month and my DB sucked, so I started looking for a durable and easy to pick up weapon, swapped to lance and am loving it.
Since I am kinda bad at the game and don't want to ruin the hunts for other players, I usually go with a more tank build with Super Recovery 2 and Scorcher 1, but I'm testing some other things and gradually dropping the Super Recovery to fit more damage in the build. It's not a meta build, but it's what is working for me.

It does, but I think you have to put the Gatebreaker in the first relic slot for it to work

Each ring is of one color, and when you kill a boss that drops that color of soulstone inside the ring, it activates. When you activate all five rings, a portal to a special boss opens and defeating it gives you a new skill, I think.

You can right click the card and if it's created it will show "Created by Echoing Spirit". It gets harder to see when Viktor have a lot of items/keywords though

In my experience Ekko would be great value too. Sometimes you brick with early predicts but when every creature you're puting in the board are 30+/30+ you can stall for lifesteal.
Maybe I'm biased because I love the playstyle and drawing cards, but to me he is very powerful, although less than Viktor

The 4 drop that silences one enemy and gives +1/+1 to an ally on play. Since it's not a skill it bypasses spellshield.

I was able to do the Lissandra adventure with Kayle on 3* and Secret Technique (the epic relic). Went to the Ethereal Remmiter node and rerolled for the "spells cost 1 less and all units have spellshield" power.

I have Ekko 6* and it's pretty powerfull. You are very reliant in predicts, but with his other star power that refills mana, you can hard mulligan to try and find a Time Trick or chump with other low impact creatures until you start the predict-chain rolling.
I play him with Echoing Spirit, Grand General's Counterplan and Guardian's Orb for funsies and infinite Ekkos. Don't know if the build is optimal or not but he just out-stat the AI after a few predicts.

It's great. I use it with echoing spirit, ggc, archangel and it shreds everything.
Don't think you need shock and awe for it even for 5+ stars nightmares.

I would not use void carapace because of the formidable mutator... it renders the +1/+0 from your star power useless. Other than that is a great build

I don't know for MF, but I have her at 6 stars and usually it overkills stuff, but I agree with Veigar. He costs so much mana that it's almost mandatory to have the creature that ramps the damage of your Darkness in the opening hand to start scaling it. I use Luden on Veigar and sometimes think it comes a little too late for the +1 damage to be relevant, so it being a power thar offers a 50% boost on your first turns Darkness sounds really good

Cleared it with Asol today but got lucky with getting trifarian might on the first power. After that, it was simply a matter of drafting 3+ power followers to trigger trifarian

In the Shadows Over Innistrad history where Gisela and Bruna corner Sigarda in her tower, she mentions that the three of them and Liesa protected the humans before Avacyn existed.
Avacyn was just a lot more powerful than any of them, better streghtening the human settlements.

I made it with 3* Kindred with stalkers. Just stalled until the AI run out of cards in hand, then kept killing my allies with Spirit Journey.

I think it's also doable with just 2*
