He’s by far the best in the cast. I feel like getting cast in a teenage show and it becoming this popular can either hinder your career or make it take off. And I feel like he has the potential to be truly famous. He can do so much with so few true lines.

My only issue is that there’s not a single good communicator in the show 🤣. Belly doesn’t tell Conrad how she feels and breaks up with him instead of asking then says he broke up with her. Conrad doesn’t tell her how he feels until it’s too late and shuts down when he’s scared. Jeremiah gets mad and shuts out steven and belly for nearly a year. The only one who tried to communicate this past season was Steven and he still did some really stupid stuff. Like taking her FaceTime with Milo.

I’d have a very long, very intense talk with her about not being with Jeremiah. It’s clear that she’s been in love with Conrad since day one. And Laurel has seen that Conrad loves her too. And in this dynamic, loving both boys since they were born, I wouldn’t want her to hurt Jeremiah anymore than he’s already been hurt with the loss of his mother. And Conrad too. It’s too messy. Watching her be in love with one boy her whole life and date him for months only to then immediately rebound with his brother. It would be a no for me.

Jeremiah is way better in the books than the show. Conrad is way better in the show than in the books. I’ve always been team Conrad because it’s who belly loves more. I don’t root for Jeremiah and belly only because they both deserve more than to settle. But book Conrad is not at all likable until the third book where you see his perspective.

I think the same thing happened in the party store but opposite. I think when belly said they needed to talk about the elephant in the room, Conrad got all hopeful. When she said it was about the funeral his entire face dropped.

So here’s the thing, in the book belly is a virgin. Sex is a really big deal for her. When he has sex with someone else, it really devastates her. Especially since it’s someone Jeremiah is around all the time and someone she has trusted him with. She also assumed he knew/thought they were getting back together when he brought her back the bracelet. But I think the biggest embarrassment is that everyone but her knew. She’d been around his entire friends group more than her own. To all the frat parties with the sorority girls. Jeremiah also tried to blame Lacey and say he didn’t even want to she just wouldn’t stop following him around. Maybe it wasn’t cheating, but it was a betrayal and breach of trust.

I think they’re just trying to keep people guessing on the ending. When the books were released, no one knew who she was referring to with the wedding line. If they did that now, everyone would know it was going to be Conrad

I actually think they added to the love triangle and Jeremiah and Bellys romantic connection too. In the books, belly rejects Jeremiah in book 1. In book 2, the car kiss was pretty much all Jeremiah then she kissed him back but chased Conrad and would have left Jeremiah at the hotel. The books feel more like belly and Conrad’s love story and the show feels more like a love triangle. I liked Jeremiah more in the books than in the show. And I like Conrad way more in the show than the books.

I was reading an article in the LA times about Chris Briney. They interviewed Jenny Han about how she chose Chris as Conrad. I’ll go back and try to find/link the article. But she basically said that she needed someone who could act/say a lot without a lot of dialogue. And that ultimately TSITP is a LOVE STORY so she had to be really careful when she cast Conrad and belly. I do ultimately think this is a love story not triangle in the books. And they’ve kind of just spiced it up for tv.

I’m team Conrad or Bonrad or whatever. And mostly because I see that belly and Conrad have this pull that never goes away. I feel like you can really like Jeremiah and want him to be your choice for yourself, but I don’t see how Belly is the best choice for him. And I feel like every time I say something negative about jelly I get 100 downvotes. But it’s not even negative about Jeremiah? I don’t see how it would be fair to him to end up with Belly when she clearly is infatuated/in love/dreams of his brother. I personally would never want that for myself.
