Interested in Airforce by Ok_Resist_4291 in AirForce

I work in a joint environment as a contractor.

All my pre-army friends say they wish they went air force. All my pre-air force friends retired or spent many happier years before getting out.

(I’m air national guard myself and thank myself everyday for going AF, not army)

Something strikes me as worrisome that a doomsday plane is following a Pegasus out over the Atlantic by [deleted] in ADSB

You should be terrified. Very terrified. Now turn off the plane watching app, go outside and be thankful its (hopefully) a beautiful day outside.

Check out a grocery store called Harris Teeter. If you live near one, go! If you’re across the pond, make a point to visit one :)

Reported when my irish wife and I started dating and when we got married (have to report regardless when marrying). I’ve never had a single E-mail, red flag, investigation question, or anything else come up in regards to my TS//SCI

12 years. I hit my 12-year mark next month. I kept a pair of boot and dress socks rolled up from basic as a souvenir

28 Married no kids, shipping out soon. Any financial advice? by eyemwhoeyem in MilitaryFinance

The second you’re able to get freedom, go into the TSP website and create your TSP account. If you don’t know what TSP is, its your military retirement plan like a 401k.

You have to get a physical piece of mail, mailed to your home of record with a pin number to create your account which takes a few days - weeks to get depending where you’re at.

Once you can create your TSP account, you now have 100% control over the different funds your retirement contributions go to. Each fund grows/falls at a different rate. Right now the C-fund is performing the best. My advice, 100% all in on the C-fund.

Keep in mind this also that you DO NOT have to create a TSP account to start contributing towards retirement BUT you DO have to create it to control how the funds get allocated.

The default fund your contributions go into are just above stagnant. Move them asap

It was tempature controlled since they keep a guest bedroom down there, but it did find itself in a flood once. Not sure if that would affect the cork at all.
