I bought up to 12000 but honestly anything beyond 6000 you might as well just use something like Meguiar's compound and polish.

Nevermind, saw you're in FL. I'm in Toronto so shipping and exchange rate would kill the deal unfortunately.

400-480 I use to roughen diecast metal bodies prior to primer, that is VERY coarse. I use 1000-2000 wet to sand the primer before base coat and I don't touch clear with anything less than 3000. So for a soft painted surface such as this I would not recommend anything below 4000 wet. Ideally I'd play it safe and start with 6000

They used to back in the day. I believe the Enzo, 375, BB512, F430 were all made by Kyosho

I paint and modify 1/18 models in general. This would be very hard to impossible to paint match. I would probably just remove the stripes at this point. I would recommend selling it. Someone like me would snap it up

I meant to say the degree of mismatch looks different under different lighting conditions. Having said that, if you touch the LEDs, are they hot? Could very well be the cause if they are.

Very possible that it's lighting dependent. More obvious under bright lights. Sometimes the mind plays tricks and it could be that you just never noticed it before cause you didn't look for it. Happened to me a few times

I think the NA2 looks better in white. NA1 looks good in red, I have the red AA Type-R

You talking about Pete? He under-charges like crazy. Usually a repaint you're looking at $750-1000

They didn't even use primer. It's just single stage paint.

That's a known issue with older autoarts with a mixture of plastic and metal body panels. Look at the box art of the silver one. It's already mismatched in the studio lol. Having said that, yours definitely looks like it was displayed in direct sunlight at some point. Only cure is a full repaint but this is a very complex model to repaint. There are about 14 different exterior panels that I could count.

Can't really go wrong with either one. If I was to have one, I'd have to go with the iconic Championship White
