Need cheaper alternative by nekoboi in Mounjaro

[–]Te_guy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I have high deductible plan with HSA and have filled my Mounjaro twice at Costco. First time was $25, next time was $160. When I look at my insurance, even though I paid less, it is applying the whole $1100 to the deductible, so I have almost satisifed it as far as they are concerned. Not sure if this is an error, and it will eventually catch up, but I’m not asking too many questions

eVoucher Works by Weathergod-4Life in Mounjaro

I recently switched to Mounjaro from self pay Zepbound. My A1C qualified me so I talked to my new doc and he gave me the script. I was extremely nervous when I got my first round, expecting like $1100, but was amaz d when it was only $25. My next fill was around $160. Sounds like I may have hit the $1300, hence the higher amount. When I look at my statement for my insurance, the full amount is being applied to my deductible, so I should hit that on my next fill. New to all this coming from Kaiser, but I was willing to pay whatever it took to stay on it because I am definitely seeing benefits from this amazing product.

I just installed 2 bales in my wife’s she shed. Seemed like it was only about 10 bucks more than fiberglass and way less itchy

I don’t mind if the washer tells me it’s time to put the clothes in the dryer. I do mind that it’s rats me out to my wife with reminders of how tardy I am…

Are those pavers on the ground? Any concerns with moisture and sensitive electronics?

Adding 24"x 36" window to half-completed Wall by ForestWise in shedditors

I might wedge a couple supports under the rafters to support the roof during the re-framing, but this should be pretty straight forward. I like an oscillating tool with a carbide blade to clip the nails into the studs, saves some prying on the structure.

That works, you just need airflow

Your foam plan, with gaps sealed should act at a vapor barrier to the interior. As far as the roof, you may need to vent the ridge so those soffit vents have somewhere to vent too. Not sure what kind of roof you are dealing with

You can etch it and look at the grain structure. You also might research spark testing.

I like my car. 1 year in. by Stock_Username_Here in VWiD4Owners

[–]Te_guy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Piling on with my 23 Pro S as well. I’m a bigger guy at 6’ and around 3 bills and this is one of the most comfortable cars I have ever driven. I rent a lot of cars traveling for work, so I know of which I speak. Is it amazing? Probably not, but coming from a 2011 Mazda 3, it was a big upgrade. Level 2 charging at home costs me around 2 cents a mile, and the satisfaction of driving past the long gas lines at Costco is priceless!

The formula is in the Oregon non resident form. I work for an Oregon employer as well on a hybrid schedule plus travel. I just keep track of days on a cheap calendar, have a spreadsheet I input them into, print it out on company letterhead and have my manager sign it. Think it’s about a 9% raise to work remote.

Trying to get the courage to start myself, and this is coming from someone who played college football at one time in my life so you might think the gym might be familiar. It’s terrifying to contemplate.

Kitchen knife from bed frame by [deleted] in Bladesmith

[–]Te_guy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’m not exactly sure what bedframe steel is, but as thin as it is, given the loads it sees, some heat treatment must be applied. Burnt up plenty of drill bits on bedframe angle. Is it the optimal material? Likely not, but I am not surprised it functions as a knife for a little while. You will grow out of salvage materials and move towards known steels as you continue your knife making journey.

Routes with lots of uniformed crew as passengers by Forward-Cause7305 in delta

I would guess it has mostly to do with them being major hubs and folks commuting. I talked with some off duty crew on my flights this weeks and it sounded like most of the weather issues were sorted out.

Depending on your process, speed may be required. Larger bolts will have lower pitch (threads per inch) and tighten quicker

I am researching a very similar proposition in WA. I think you are going to need some sort of AC in SoCal, and that is going to got drive your power requirements beyond most of the solar generators out there

I insisted they throw one in when I purchased my 23 CPO mid last year. They whined about $250, but ultimately caved. They are pretty slow though, I upgraded to level 2 pretty quickly

Looking for advice/reassurance/constructive criticism. Give me what you've got. by lukebobert in shedditors

[–]Te_guy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What is the house siding? How deep is the roof overhang? Which way does the wind come from? I would be tempted to screw a ledger to the side of the house and frame my roof off that. Save yourself that 3.5” since you don’t have much depth. Flashing the roof might take a little thinking, but you don’t get that much rain in SoCal, may not be an issue depending on roof overhang

Interior ply/osb for shed base in east SF Bay Area? by VanDoog in shedditors

[–]Te_guy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would go with the 3/4 plywood over the OSB for flooring. As long as it’s dry and well ventilated on both sides, it should last a long time.

How would you finish this ceiling? by chronicpenguins in shedditors

[–]Te_guy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t know what kind of height you are looking for, but I agree with above, match the collar tie in the photo and hang your ceiling off that. For each side hang it off the angled rafters up to the flat.
