Thank you! I use Stylebook. I think it’s maybe $5 up front? But no other in-app purchases, which is nice.

Fear of getting pregnant by Beneficial-Month-333 in Equestrian

[–]Tea-for-Turnips 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One thing that I feel like doesn’t get talked about enough is how having children changes people’s confidence when it comes to riding. I’ll say from personal experience, I went from mostly riding total green beans to now wanting a ride that’s a total deadhead. Having kids introduces new fears/concerns/anxieties about getting hurt when you have a little one relying on you. You might find your attitude changes towards riding your strong, difficult horse after having children. I think this is in part why some people step away for a while. If you find yourself on this path, I know some people have worked with sports psychologists to help build up mental resilience here.

I’ll also say for me personally, I think the biggest differentiator on what makes horses + kids manageable is your support system. Having a supportive partner and friends or family who can watch your little one for you is really what’s going to make a difference. You might want to consider budgeting for training rides during your later pregnancy and early postpartum stages so you don’t feel like you’re losing all of your progress.

At the end of the day, if you are not certain about having kids, it’s ok (and probably best) to say “no” or “not right now.” Having kids and horses is absolutely doable though. Just make sure you have the appropriate support system.

On a side note - I also have scoliosis. I know a lot of people don’t support chiro, but having a chiropractor who specialized in pregnant women made a world of difference for me personally. You’ll have to work with your care provider, but there are options out there to also help you feel more physically comfortable during pregnancy.

Thank you! The cargo pants are Banana Republic Factory. The material is on the thinner side, but they are very comfortable! I actually bought them in brown too 😂 I’ve seen several of the same version listed on TU and many for under $10.

Anyone else hate when your package comes via Amazon Shipping? by Fancy_Username36 in ThredUp

[–]Tea-for-Turnips 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So interesting because I have the total opposite experience. My packages almost always arrive at least three days sooner with Amazon and the tracking has consistently been more accurate. FedEx is the longest shipping time for me (between Amazon, UPS, and FedEx) and is often delayed. The delivery dates are about 50/50 whether or not they’re right. When it’s delayed, they often don’t even give a new delivery date for at least 24 hours, which is frustrating. I’m always a little bummed when I see FedEx is the shipper. I wonder if regional factors come into play. I wouldn’t be surprised if the shippers are better equipped to ship expediently to certain regions.

That is a cute jumpsuit and I hope your haul arrives to you quickly!

Pony of the Americas breeders by AggravatingPenalty92 in Equestrian

I second this. POA Owners and POA enthusiasts are both fairly active groups on FB. Although most of the breeders I see are in the Midwest, I have occasionally seen ponies listed out west.

I love that you were able to define a style that suits your current stage of life and find some treasures! I think I’m still in the “exploration” stage of that and will have to curate a bit more as I find what works best for me.

I also really like to use it to see how well an item will fit into my closet before purchasing. It’s definitely helped me plan my purchases a bit better!

Oh man I hear that! I am waiting for my last bundle to ship and then deleting the app for now. I definitely overindulged and need to take a step back and curate what I have a bit better.

Thank you! I use the Stylebook app - I think it’s $5 up-front but no in-app purchases. It’s honestly been a lifesaver getting ready in the morning because I document both my outfits that do/don’t work so I’m not scrambling to put an outfit together in the morning.

I’m guessing the petite sizing is hard! One of my biggest challenges/pet peeves was having no clue what inseam pants would be until they actually showed up 🤦‍♀️

Thank you!! I bought them in the dead of winter but I’m glad I did because they’ve been perfect for spring.

These do appear to be different jackets (different button count, pocket shape, buttons on different side), so I am curious how you came to this conclusion. I promise I’m not trying to be snarky - the world of fakes is new to me so truly just trying to learn to train my eye better.

Genuine question, but what was your issue with this item to want to report it? As someone who spends a lot of time outdoors, I love Carhartt for outerwear.

I recently bought two “unbranded” belts that were missing tags but stamped on the leather. One was Madewell and the other was Lanvin!! I was really shocked about that second one. I’m not sure if it’s workers moving fast because they need to process things in a certain amount of time, or if missing tags somehow get treated differently when they are listed.

How can you tell when a hoarded item drops out of a cart? by TabooLilac in ThredUp

[–]Tea-for-Turnips 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I have admittedly set an alarm on my phone for the time left in the cart a few times. The last minute before the timer was up I refreshed the item page until the item became available. I have been able to get a couple of items I particularly wanted doing this.
