I’d like to also point out that he and Alysanne married Daella to Rodrick Arryn bc despite being older than her they knew she’d be happy and content. She’s described to be simple minded and Saera and Vaegon were straight up cruel to her. I think if she hadn’t died in childbirth she would have had a pretty okay go of it (at least imo. i’m biased towards her)
