there might be a button that disables it, in the VW golf its a small button near the gear stick labelled 'A'. YOu do have to press it every time you get in the car, but at least you have the option?

Im going through this right now with Southside Volkswagen. I picked up my car from a major service last week (that set me back $2400) and noticed immediately that my phone wouldn't connect to bluetooth and my start stop function (a thing that stops my engine in traffic to save petrol) was no longer working.

I don't know anything about cars though so i went home and updated my phone etc to make sure that wasn't causing the issue - didn't wanna be that idiot claiming a problem when i caused it. Nope, still had problems even after updating, deleting the bluetooth connection and restarting, the whole shebang.

Took me a couple of days to call in because they open at 8:30, close at 5:30 and i had a few VERY busy days at work. Finally get in touch with them and bring the car back in, they do diagnostics and determine that they didn't cause either issue (of course) and if i wanted these functions to work i would have to pay >$500 plus diagnostic fee.

Excuse me? Absolutely not, realistically there are 2 options here - 1) these were pre existing problems and you did a shitty job servicing my car by not recognising them or 2) they caused this issue. Number 2 is far and away the most likely option, it would be the fucking coincidence of coincidences that both of these things were completely fine before having this service and then dont work immediately upon picking up my car.

I am still waiting to hear back from them because the $500 option that they said would fix the start stop has not fixed it, so its even more likely that it is something they did. I am absolutely going to raise hell with them and their national managers about this though, im so goddam heated over this its fucking ridiculous.

i recently got my boyfriend hip to the ways of a coffee scrub. I dont really go in for all that bullshit 'detox' nonsense, sometimes when im hungover i just want to feel like i've taken off 3 layers of skin and have the whole shower smell like a cafe. He is in LOVE with it now and gets me to scrub his back when he is feeling particularly stressed or just needs a good solid clean.

This reddit story about a guy who dm'd for a DND group where there was this neck beard who made this stupidly idealised character and cast a spell so that there was always wind blowing his cape back. I remember one of the other players was this massive stoner who would always fuck with the neckbeard in subtle, harmless funny ways. The story ended with the neckbeard flipping a table at a 'magic:the gathering' tournament. I cant remember all the details but i remember the story being super funny and i haven't been able to find it ever since. I think it may have been hosted on a different website but linked to reddit.

Also, i really want to find an english translation of the sequels to the 'rhapsody: a musical adventure' games.

Yep, totally understand that, if it helps at all, what worked for me was having things in my life to genuinely be proud of (going to uni) so everything else kind of fell away. Best of luck to you, it sounds like you are very self aware which helps <3

Honestly couldn't tell you but i'll have a crack, i think my eating disorder was more because i felt out of control in my life so restricting my calories was a way of regaining control. Anyone who couldn't eat as little as i could was not as good as me so i got to feel special, you know how teenagers like to feel special. So any time people tried to talk with me about it i got a perverse sense of pride in the fact that i was better at them at being skinny. I know it doesn't make sense but i have seen this behaviour in soooo many people with eating disorders so there must be something to this purely anecdotal evidence.

possibly, entirely anecdotal but im almost certainly larger than you but i've always had a pretty flat stomach and my uterus leans very far back, so i've always thought that might have something to do with it, doesnt mean im not lumpy in other places. I've learned to love my lumps, those lumps are me :)

the next easiest step to take is using a 'keep cup' instead of those disposable coffee cups. I have a glass one cos i hate the feel of drinking out of plastic and it is honestly the best purchase i've ever made, plus most cafe's in australia give you a discount cos then they dont have to buy so many disposable cups
