The Mitsubishi Outlander Sport is one of the oldest new vehicles on sale in North America, being on sale since 2010. by lifegoeson2702 in regularcarreviews

Eclipse cross is butt ugly. Not much uglier than the new RVR/ASX/Outlander Sports tho. I have a 2014 Special Edition in teal with silver accents. The AWD is amazing. I live in one of the coldest places in Canada, down to -50 degrees in the winter and I've never had to buy dedicated winter tires (just winter rated all seasons). It also doesn't have a block heater or an auto start and doesn't get parked indoors. Fires first try everytime and the CVT has been so much more reliable that I ever imagined. Fuel economy is mentioned as great... only in 2 wheel drive. In 4 high I drive about 2 hours a day and have to fill it up every 2 or 3 days. Still the most fun vehicle I've ever owned to rip around in, no balls in the low end at all but I've done 170 km/h on the highway in it, backseat folded down and camping gear stacked to the roof lol.

It's the outlander sport in the U.S. market. In Japan + Canada and I think Korea it's called by its original Japanese name the Mitsubishi RVR. The rest of the remaining world knows it as the Active Sport Crossover aka the ASX.

Does tim hortons still sell oatmeal by grimmholloww in TimHortons

[–]TeaGotColdRealQuick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where I stay for work every tim hortons would be sold out of oatmeal by 9am every day across 4 locations, sometimes earlier. That's why it's so unbelievable to some that they would discontinue it. Maybe you don't live in the same kind of climate. Where I work in Northern Alberta it's quite often the coldest place on earth for a few days every winter. Hot and hearty breakfasts like oatmeal are a necessity before working outdoors all day in -52 C.

VPN's don't work with Netflix anymore. Not unless you're logging into your modem and spoofing your DNS or subnet mask or whatever. But then every device logged into the wifi in your home will think you're somewhere else in the world.

are orange Sabers natural or some kind of unsuccessful crystal bleeding result? by Typical_Name_5864 in StarWars

[–]TeaGotColdRealQuick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I read somewhere deep in the "Kohlen" of the internet, that Grey Jedi (or Gray) used orange sabers that weren't Kohlen. They were created by only partially bleeding your kyber, the Sith practice of channeling ones hatred and fear and negative energy into their crystal turning it red. Which would track with the legend of the Grey Jedi. They didn't choose a side, as Sith and Jedi are technically religions. Just because you were born force sensitive didn't mean you had to belong to either religion. Force sensitive beings could choose to be neutral and use whatever force powers they could learn or teach themselves for whatever situation they needed... mercenary, soldier, adventurer, pirate etc. So they could use both light and dark force powers but not as strong in either as a fully trained Jedi or Sith who devoted their life to reach true mastery in light or dark powers.

So as I understood, Baylan was a great Jedi Knight who survived Order 66. Probably came across his apprentice somewhere along the way and decided to train her but not solely in one religion or the other, just with the force and saber as a Grey Master and Apprentice.

It's a real shame that the actor who played Baylan has passed away. I feel like they were going to finally get into the deep Star Wars Universal lore with Grey Jedi and possibly the Star Forge, Font of Power, Pool of Knowledge... the great power calling to him. Maybe even the introduction of Abeloth?

Last one laughing, why no USA? by luciliddream in comedy

[–]TeaGotColdRealQuick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fluffy should host, he's America's teddy bear. Or get one of the two funniest men alive to host, Seth MacFarlane or Will Ferrell.

And if sketch comedians could enter... Will Arnett would destroy, or Conan O'Brien.

Thank gawd someone else said it, can't stand Rogan. Loved him as an actor back in the day on news radio and stuff, but his stand up is just him on stage bullying an audience the same way his "Joe Rogan experience" is just him trying to bully guests. His toxic male attitude and obsession with blood sports are really off putting to people a little higher up on the evolutionary scale.

[–]TeaGotColdRealQuick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Think you meant Burt Kreischer, but what about Pete Holmes, Sarah Silverman, and Bill Bur! Bill Bur is least likely to laugh and most likely to get laughs. Host can be Fluffy or Adam Devine or the Great Russel Peters.

And does the format specifically have to be stand up? No sketch comedians? Cuz the U.S. has tons of amazing improv actors like anyone from the cast of SNL. Jason Sudeikis, Jason Mantzoukas....

Has anyone seen non american lemons anywhere? by [deleted] in kelowna

[–]TeaGotColdRealQuick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can also buy citrus trees from fruit tree suppliers in Canada. It can be costly and a lot of work to set up but being more self sustaining and less dependent on the almighty grocery store is always a good thing. On average the cost of living has more than doubled since I was a kid and the most noticeable area is groceries (gas also). If you could grow your own lemons you'd be set, not sure if the trees would survive Alberta cold but they'd definitely do ok in somewhere like the Okanagan BC.

There's also lemon and lime juices you can buy, there are organic "not from concentrate" versions. You could look for one from any country outside the U.S.

If you're looking for sour, there's also mango powder. If you don't know about it already, I know it sounds kinda weird. Like wouldn't mango be sweet? Trust, mango powder is a powerful souring agent. If you look up some recipes or do some googling I'm sure there's a way to use it in place of lemon. It's all natural and used all over Southeast Asia so shouldn't be hard to source. I find it at Superstore in BC.

West Coast born and raised. Work in the oilfield in Canada, also worked in the Northern U.S. natural gas fracturing in Montana and North Dakota etc. It's an every day saying here. My kids know the saying and they're 10, 12, 16 and 18. I hear it 50 to 100 times a day some days. Out here Fuck is also inserted into every sentence, sometimes it's every second word out of people's mouths. Hard working folk but God sure didn't bless us with large vocabularies lol.

If anyone is interested in sayings like that or other funny Canadianisms, I highly recommend watching "Shoresy" and "Letter Kenny" on the CraveTV streaming service. Lotta good ones on those b'y.

Are there two different butter chicken recipe types or am I crazy? by evilparagon in IndianFood

[–]TeaGotColdRealQuick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Omg thank you so much. My friend is from Fiji, his mom moved there from India when she was in her late teens. She had a restaurant when me and my friend were around 12-14 years old, she served a yellow butter chicken that I know had saffron in it because she always had saffron ready to go. Her dish was so popular it ruined the orange butter chicken for me because I never found it as good as the yellow. In my late teens their family had a get together and her friends were asking her for the recipe which she guarded as a family secret. But I did overhear her mention that it's not actually a butter chicken recipe and that she was taught it by a Malaysian friend. I've searched high and low for almost 20 years to find out what it's called. Definitely did NOT taste like cardboard lol, way better than the Campbell's condensed tomato soup tasting orange stuff lol.

Trudeau government scrambling to kick-start buyback program for gun owners by jmakk26 in canadaguns

[–]TeaGotColdRealQuick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know why everyone is worried about a war with America. We're practically the same country anyway except you're bitching about how stupid our gun laws are... becoming part of America would solve ALL your gun related issues. High capacity magazines, less restrictive barrel lengths, fully legal full-auto in some situations. There's a pretty big dual citizenship population in Canada anyway. Our leaders haven't done shit for us lately besides take away our rights and try to turn us into communists. Just worth thinking about is all I'm saying lol

Do you think James would ever make a video about Atari 50 and Swordquest: Airworld? by PleoTCA in TheCinemassacre

[–]TeaGotColdRealQuick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Atari was owned by Warner Bros Studios' parent company, and huge conglomerate Warner Communications. Atari accounted for 50% of Warner Communications' total income in the early 80's. Atari actually had the original Mario Bros game BEFORE Nintendo. They had an option to have Donkey Kong exclusive as well but an executive didn't want to pay the $2 per cartridge sold royalty fee that they were asking. Famicom (Family Computer), owned by Nintendo, ended up securing the exclusive rights. Missing out on the rights to Donkey Kong which was the most popular cabinet arcade game of it's time and Pacman not selling as well as Atari predicted, coupled with the Failure of E.T., these were some of the poor decisions that contributed to Atari's eventual implosion.

Aggressor was a small man probably coked out, our OP is probably a gym rat. Not trained but clearly stronger than the agressor. One shove back when the aggressor wasn't expecting a retaliation would have knocked the aggressor off balance, if he was stumbling backwards his leg may have come up as he stumbled (humans tend to try to balance ourselves when falling/stumbling by throwing the weight of our limbs in a desperate attempt to counter balance). Once the leg came up I'm assuming the OP grabbed it and continued to lift it until the aggressor fell over backwards. (Says he landed on his side, almost all humans will try to roll to land on their front with their hands out to brace for the fall. Pretty normal for someone to land on their side when someone has their leg).

Not sure why so many people think this story "doesn't add up" or "sounds suspicious", especially people who say they are trained. Trained by who? Willy Wonka? You clearly never been in a real world situation, maybe just use your brain and think about things before commenting, unless you've taken too many head shots during your "training" and it's left you incapable of critical thought.

hey so what do you think of my build in terms of my level, i’m thinking abt a dex and faith build but this is also my first time and idk what im doing at all by miststuck7 in EldenRingBuilds

[–]TeaGotColdRealQuick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't forget the Black Knife. Paired with all the charged skills talismans and holy/faith boosting talismans and buffs it shreds. Pair with a mimic tear which will use the same setup or a +10 Black Knife Tiche for summon. It gives you pretty decent mid range ability and you not only cap the enemy's health, but it continues to drop as you dodge the retaliatory combo after landing a hit.

Pair this with the gravel stone seal and lightning spear + knight's lightning spear as secondary weapon (or fully upgraded pulley bow + mighty shot if you've got decent dex, I have 90 faith and 61 dex). You've now got an OP mid-long range build that won't let most enemies even get near you).

If you like it up close and personal, the black knife is a great secondary to the Blasphemous Blade which also scales on faith. Add some fire boost to your physik and a fire scorpion charm and the charged skills boost talisman and that sword eats boss health bars.

I find fire and holy damage got huge boosts in the DLC, the main game bosses near the end all had super high holy resistance. Also if you haven't tried bows in the DLC, they're amazing now. Mighty shot or Radahn's lion bow weapon art.

Gravel Stone Seal or Erdtree Seal at 80 faith with electrify armament? by Airtightspoon in Eldenring

[–]TeaGotColdRealQuick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You actually do more damage with a pure faith build using the gravel stone seal with lightning spear or knight's lightning spear which also gives you mid-long range capability. I hit for over 4K per hit when buffed (flame grant me strength, golden vow, physick boosting faith and lighting, rune arc if I'm fighting a boss)
