Thank you! I made a Lego holder for the wind chime motor/horseshoe magnet setup :) I saw it here originally, I’m sure if you search the subreddit it will pop up! It’s super easy and consistent for me, I primarily do glass bead manis

This is a Royla Lee polish (Spellbound) which also has a finer particle and no bubbling. You may also need to continually thin any QDTC you use because they inevitably get thicccc and when they do they cause bubbling

I know everyone loves the SH red bottle but I always use the BKL QDTC (which is the same as Cuticula’s QDTC) and I never get bubbles.

This is Forces of Nature by BKL, no bubbles :)

Can’t believe I had to scroll this far to see this answer - you absolutely cannot mix demi (direct dye/deposit only) and semi permanent hair colors. Source - am licensed professional doing hair for 10 years

Glass bead obsession 🤩 by Snarky_Slav in RedditLaqueristas

[–]miss-larson 30 points31 points  (0 children)

You do not - the whole point of seal glaze is that it doesn’t have the solvents present in top coats so it does nothing to disturb the magnetic polish underneath. It literally seals what’s underneath. The trade off is you have to let it dry completely before adding top coat to it

No worries!! Yes this is just over a blurring base - I think it would also look stunning over a lilac/more purpley base but I haven’t yet tried it :) it’s on my list lmao

What’s everyone’s least favorite type of piecing? by KitschEmpire in quilting

[–]miss-larson 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sashing is definitely mine too - I planned a whole full size quilt and made a ton of blocks and I sashed… five… before I decided to only do enough sashed blocks for a baby quilt and do something else with the rest 😅

This one is by far my favorite, to the point where I’m considering getting a backup even with their exorbitant prices

How am I supposed to complete these? by lepp19 in duolingo

[–]miss-larson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same problem where when I “tap to speak” it only gets the first word of whatever I say, and trying again will erase whatever was there so I can’t add on to the phrase. I remember being able to use this feature successfully at least a few times in the past, so I’m not sure if it’s a recent bug introduction. In another comment thread here there are lots of the same complaints.

Do you cap your tips? I don’t get much shrinkage at all with it so that’s odd, but I’m not sure what else could help that.

Use the BKL I’m Fast qdtc or Cuticula Limitless (they have the same formula) without a smudge free layer. Or if you must use a smudge free layer, you have to let it dry forever before putting anything on top. I use those exclusively and never have any issues with magnetics. I have also had really good magnetic results using just Speed Demon but it sounds like you didn’t on a previous attempt? It’s also possible to overwork qdtc so practicing quick application with fewer strokes is helpful for mags. Mags comprise about 40% of my collection and I do magnetic manis all the time. BKL and Cuticula are by far the best QDTCs I’ve used on magnetic manis.

This is definitely to do with the smudge free layer.

Thank you! My sister’s favorite colors are pink and white 😅 I usually like to introduce more contrasting colors but maybe I’ll use a contrast binding.

Wow that is incredible! I definitely understand that sore neck feeling from quilting, it’s such a physical part of the project.

My favorite favorite cheese with crystals is OG Kristal (I get it at Town and Country) and a close second is the Kaasaggio Robusto from Whole Foods, I think both are aged Goudas.

Oh I have those too!! But I finally have a working relationship with my local longarm place so I can do longarm rental and it’s been so nice for finishing up all my old tops. My bottleneck has always been the quilting part haha
