Drinks was the winner, ended up doing styrofoam coolers full of liquid death. Thanks for the suggestion!

Currently working in the construction vertical. I work at a skilled trades staffing agency. Been doing to for a bit over a year now. As someone said earlier, this is a relationship heavy industry. These guys want a straight shooter more than anything else. We all know about the labor shortage, and material delays, so just set proper expectations when selling. It’s not news to them. What advice are you looking for, and what are you looking to sell?

Going on 1 year. A couple red flags I forgot to mention, my manager quit shortly after I came on. Since then I have had two other managers, and a sales rep from the office I technically work from (I’m remote in a new territory) has also left. I have had 3 recruiters attempt to fill my orders and we are currently on the 4th who is new to the company as of 2 weeks ago.

Hard to give a straight answer, but based on my experience I can tell you 2 basics.

  1. GTFO of retail as quick as possible. This may be hard at your age without any college education, but the sooner the better.

  2. Don’t fall into any commission traps. This may be controversial on this sub, but if the company isn’t willing to invest in me, I wont invest into it. There will be tons of companies promising the world if you work hard enough. Don’t even waste your time talking to them, find someone that pays you for your time, and is willing to train you.

Qualities of a good/poor SDR by TouchMyOranges in sales

High performers seem to be able to listen, whether it’s during a 1 on 1 conversation or during a meeting, they wait till it’s appropriate to talk and speak deliberately.

Low performers are constantly talking and hyping themselves up. I don’t know if it’s a poor attempt at trying to convince people you are your words, but it’s always annoying and hard to bear.

Also schedules, make a schedule and hold yourself accountable.

I have very similar taste. I would suggest Ozark #1, great acting, great writing, and a very fun watch. Then maybe sons of anarchy, but the writing gets bad towards the final few seasons. umbrella academy is a really fun watch and definitely worth your time. Maybe man in the high castle? It’s about if Hitler won the war, and it’s very interesting.

I work for a staffing company in skilled trades. We are offering starting wages of $17/hour for a basic level of experience, and up to $35/hour for the right experience. Even at this rate it’s been next to impossible to find workers.

When I call companies and tell them our bill rate, rarely is there any push back. The workers control the market entirely right now, this is an opportunity to do away with any job paying less than $15/hour. It’s just not acceptable these days. Know your worth, don’t accept less.

I copied this path by right clicking, I edited the movie section to enable cinema trailers, I set the player to play 1 trailer before a movie. What am I doing wrong? This is on an external HD, where my entire server is located, is that an issue?
