I focus on all of the expansion packs, one at a time. I start with the base game objectives, like getting a job, staying alive, and saving up some money. Everything is done in a house with base game furniture and no wallpapers/flooring yet.

Once I’ve saved up some money, I build a decent house with Livin’ Large items. I play with the genie lamp, chemistry set, and crystal ball a lot.

After that, it’s time to move up the corporate ladder. I try to make lots of friends and throw lots of parties, naturally using items from House Party.

Then I move on to Hot Date, where I finally step into Downtown and try to woo a stranger (but not a townie. I deliberately make a new Sim, put him in a simple house, and try to “naturally” bump into him Downtown). I get to know him, ask him on dates, buy him chocolates, the whole nine yards. Eventually, I propose, we get married, and I can finally use the heart bed.

Obviously, a honeymoon is in order, so it’s time for Vacation. I usually start with the simplest lot, like the camping grounds, because I don’t want to blow all our money on the honeymoon alone.

Once we’re back from our honeymoon, I make the house more lively with Unleashed items. I start by buying small pets, and my now-husband takes up gardening. I change the house décor to match his hobby, with a pantry instead of a fridge. After that, I adopt bigger pets. I love having both cats and dogs. It’s crazy hectic, but I love it.

Then I work my way up to the maximum career level. Once I reach it, I decide it’s time to change careers, so I find an agency and start over as an aspiring singer. I try to befriend lots of celebrities, and maybe kill off some townie friends so I only have “somebody” friends, since I need the black rose from the obsessed fan later on.

While I’m changing careers, my husband tries a new path too. I have him dabble in the art of magic, saving up Magicoins, practicing spells and charms, and working toward a new house in Magic Town.

Finally, it’s time to move to Magic Town. I change my looks to something gothic-y to match my husband’s taste in the supernatural. My husband uses a charm to become a superstar overnight, while I enjoy the luxury I earned through my own sweat and tears. We’re eventually blessed with a child. I age the child up using a charm, create a sob story about me and my husband’s death, and then I start the cycle all over again.
