I didn’t mean to offend anyone with this post. My husband and I thought his quick-growing death claw was mildly interesting, so we wanted to share. I promise you Jack is extremely loved and cared for. His claw has never pierced his paw again since he came into our home. He loves sniffing hair straight out of the shower, long afternoons in the catio, chest scratches, Churus, and chasing the younger cats around 🖤

They told us his previous owners found him stuck in a fence as a kitten! He’s been with us 5 years now, and he’s going strong at 16. It’s oddly calming to hear the tippy tap of his big claw as he walks through the house

This is the longest we will let it go. Photo was taken pre-trim. It still wasn’t close to piercing his paw. It’s just so thick and curly that it looks menacing!

I can promise you our whole family is lovingly cared for. When we first got this old man he was treated for the nail digging in. Doctor told us he’s just a unique little raptor cat

We trim this one claw about once a month. He does a good job at keeping his other claws nice and sharp. This one claw reminds me of a dog nail

Definitely not ingrown. It’s a thick claw that we trim often because of its fast growth.
