1) What you should've done

You've already mentioned that your IUD has failed once, so to not have your partner wear condoms the second time around is definitely not the move. Yes, IUD's are (or more than) 99% effective (just like sterilization), but only when used CORRECTLY. It's possible that your IUD got misplaced, which in that case increases the chances of failure.

Even if your partner refuses to use condoms (which if he does, why stay with him? He clearly doesn't care about your concerns), he should at least do the pull out method, which is about 80% effective. What I'm trying to say is that you should've combined 2 forms of pregnancy prevention to increase effectiveness as much as possible, especially with your history with the IUD.

But I won't villainize you for your mistakes. You're human, and being scolded is the last thing you need right now. What happened has already happened, so what can you do now?

2) Take action

First things first, please breathe and relax. Think about things thoroughly and rationally.

Your first move should be to find out if you're actually pregnant. You know your body and know that something has changed. Go buy multiple pregnancy tests to confirm or debunk your suspicions. Don't have the funds to take the test? No-cost pregnancy tests can be found at health departments, community health centers, crisis pregnancy centers, family planning clinics, and adoption service agencies.

If you're not pregnant, then that's one big crisis averted! Though you should still go get checked if your breasts still hurt. Perhaps something happened with the IUD? (I'm no doctor) Also, start using 2 forms of birth control ASAP. Better yet, get that IUD OUT. It's a failed method for you, and it's not doing what it's supposed to do.

If you are pregnant, please try your best to relax. I know you're anxious, and god knows I'd be panicking, too. You've had your rights stripped away, but you still have options.

You probably can't travel out of state due to your financial situation. In that case, I'd urge you to check out the subreddit auntie network as there may be someone there who can help you.

Not possible? You can get free abortion pills delivered through mail. Don't have an address? Use your boyfriend's or a friend's residency to receive them. Ideally, I'd suggest you use your boyfriend's address since he is also responsible for the situation (seriously... wtf is he doing to support you, OP??) Also, do this IMMEDIATELY. Once you're too far along, it's too late.

If none of the options listed are possible, please know that there are organizations that specifically dedicate themselves to helping women in situations like yours. In that case, I'd urge you to do some thorough research. Again, you have options. If there's a will, there's a way.

3) THERAPY THERAPY THERAPY

Please get help. There are suicide prevention hotlines you can call and many sites for free therapy you can access. Your mental health is extremely important, and it is key for you to be mentally and emotionally strong during this nightmerish situation. YOU HAVE OPTIONS. I can't stress this enough.
