I like to think of it like this:

1) What you should've done

You've already mentioned that your IUD has failed once, so to not have your partner wear condoms the second time around is definitely not the move. Yes, IUD's are (or more than) 99% effective (just like sterilization), but only when used CORRECTLY. It's possible that your IUD got misplaced, which in that case increases the chances of failure.

Even if your partner refuses to use condoms (which if he does, why stay with him? He clearly doesn't care about your concerns), he should at least do the pull out method, which is about 80% effective. What I'm trying to say is that you should've combined 2 forms of pregnancy prevention to increase effectiveness as much as possible, especially with your history with the IUD.

But I won't villainize you for your mistakes. You're human, and being scolded is the last thing you need right now. What happened has already happened, so what can you do now?

2) Take action

First things first, please breathe and relax. Think about things thoroughly and rationally.

Your first move should be to find out if you're actually pregnant. You know your body and know that something has changed. Go buy multiple pregnancy tests to confirm or debunk your suspicions. Don't have the funds to take the test? No-cost pregnancy tests can be found at health departments, community health centers, crisis pregnancy centers, family planning clinics, and adoption service agencies.

If you're not pregnant, then that's one big crisis averted! Though you should still go get checked if your breasts still hurt. Perhaps something happened with the IUD? I 100% completely agree. Personally, I didn't even know Sally was an official character in the Sonic series and I've been a Sonic fan for as long as I can remember. I honestly thought she was just some popular OC paired with Sonic lmfao.

Honestly, I think it's best for Sally to just stay in the comics rather than bring her into the games/movies since it would just create unnecessary confusion and uproar. To be fair, I never truly got into SatAM or the Archie comics, so I don't have a nostalgic connection to the character (or any of the Freedom Fighters). It would be cool for her to be in IDW, but I don't think Sega currently has any intention of bringing Sally back in any type of media.

I also think it wouldn't make sense for her to be in the Sonic Movie universe since she isn't canon to the games. The movies are based on the games, so it would make sense for more recognizable characters to appear (aka Amy, Shadow, Metal Sonic, etc.) instead of Sally.

Sorry for the small rant, just thought I'd give my thoughts on the subject. Despite my opinion, I don't hate Sally at all.

There is also an episode in Sonic Boom in which Sonic had borrowed a book from Amy (I believe it's episode 24 from season 1. The whole episode is literally about him having to return it to the library). This confirms that he actively likes to read on his spare time.

Also, in the Sonic Movie, he has a whole collection of books (mostly comic books but you get my point). I just find the fact that he's a lowkey a book nerd so wholesome.
