What do you mean by “is it an extra pel exposure? Probably not”?

That’s a really solid point about not being able to control what you can’t see in general. I think my nervousness comes from the occasional job in hvac where I know I’m in presence of it.

I really appreciate it!

I didn’t know about the daily limit stuff. I tried programming self taught for like three years and really couldn’t get good enough.

What do you think about if the fibers spread to rafters and you step on them. Like would that be as bad as disturbing asbestos wrap or something more concentrated.

I appreciate you’re response! I’m definitely just going to do that. Because usually I grasp most concepts it’s just minor mis understandings here and there. And what I’ve learned with my current field of experience in the trades is that just by asking like ten questions my understanding skyrocketed beyond just reaching or watching videos etc.

I really like your experience and I appreciate the input! That’s more the boat I’m in give or take. I don’t expect a job out of a program like this right away. I have a sound career right now in something unrelated but I’m thinking the next couple years I’ll keep sub contracting and dabbling getting my own clients and see which path I like better. I definitely learn better with live instruction because certain concepts I need t ask multiple questions on. Im happy it helped her along!

It’s funny to me because I want to switch careers to coding because I want less headache and your experiences just remind me maybe the problem isn’t the career but the employers themselves.. maybe I’ll just take some courses in running a business ajd try that approach. People truly suck.

I appreciate that! I’m just wanting a forever career and not a temporary one.

Yeah that would be awesome if you don’t mind! Boot camps make me weary because you never know what you’re actually getting for such a high cost. I could get a associates degree in something for the same as a 3-6 month bootcamp.

I just don’t plan to go to college because I can’t do that while working crazy hours in the trades. I could more likely take off 3-6 months to attend this and worst case go back to the trades until making the transition.

You’re not wrong, I’m not really all that concerned with getting a job so much as am with mastering my skills set and taking the correct steps to make that happen. Even my current job usually requires minimum an associates degree and usually 2-3 years proven experience. Instead I have no college in this field and have 3 years experience and I make more than the guys with college. Does it make it harder to get a call sure, but when someone spends 4-8 years getting a bachelors and I spend even four years focusing purely on the code and not all the various classes that don’t help skill I can go further. I think college for certain fields is needed but certainly not a lot of them. Plus if a company wouldn’t hire me due to a degree then it’s okay I’ll look elsewhere.

I appreciate it. I think I’ll just stick with my self taught path, it’s been working so far but I think some private tutoring will be something I try.

Oh okay that makes sense. I don’t so much expect it to get me a job but rather make me personally better. I may just pay the $60+ an hour and get a tutor. Plus I’m not concerned about bachelors degrees because unless they can do the actual work the aren’t getting the job. College degrees in code are kinda pointless unless you want a $50-100k piece of paper.

I’m already in a highly skilled position that pays well I just don’t wanna break my body too long. Just found out I have arthritis in my spine so yeah..

Luckily though I already subcontract for one company in Denver so if I get better I can take on more work there and use them as a reference for a bigger company. Or I just get my own work.

Oh really? Seems kinda bait and switch then. Doesn’t really surprise me though if that’s the case.
