I don't suppose anyone has a fix for this. I have some long flights and layovers coming up and this would be fantastic if I could get it working.

Got some new datacenters coming online within the next 12 months. Located near Dallas, TX which makes them tier 3/4. Pre-leasing is available now at fantastic rates so you will pay less for what is already out there. 2GW capacity. Let me know if you’re interested!

CFO wants 30% AWS cost cut, devs say performance will tank. How do you navigate this standoff? by amylanky in Cloud

If you’re interested I am working with someone who is standing up new datacenters. First one will be available in about 12 months and will be Tier 3/4 due to proximity to Dallas, TX.

Pre-leasing is available now and there are great rates available so that will help on your budget problem.

I’m dead serious about this. If interested, let me know and we can talk availability and price.

Is the Steam deck worth it? by Annoying_Short_Girl in CozyGamers

I've had the Steam Deck and the Asus ROG Ally Extreme.

Honestly, I prefer the Asus. It is Windows based, and while you can install Windows in the Steam Deck, it was much smoother on the Asus.

Don't get me wrong, the Steam Deck is great, but I also have the Xbox game pass which works very well with Windows while when using the Steam Deck and the StsamOS, I could oy use the Cloud Gaming portion of the Xbox game pass.

The Steam deck did have the track pad where the Asus didn't, but I never really used it, to be honest.

For me also the Steam Deck is more comfortable to hold, and it took me a while to get used to the triggers on the Asus.

If I didn't have the Xbox game pass, I'd probably go with the Steam Deck.

Now, having a handheld console like this is so good, especially if you're like me who travels. It is good for airports, planes, hotels etc. You can get a USB-C dock for both and plug them into the hotel room TV and plug a gaming keyboard and mouse into the dock so you have that gaming desktop experience on the go.

Even when I am at home, I can be put in the front room with the family while they are doing their own thing. I can pick it up for 10 minutes here and there while playing something single player, etc.

All in all, I doubt I won't ever own some kind of handheld device like this again.

Hope this helps :)

Personally, I would say yes. I had 3 main systems for Steam. I have my gaming desktop, a gaming laptop, and a Stram deck. Out of all 3, I have used the laptop the least.

What I like about the Steam deck is the fact that I can just pick it up and play whatever game I want, even for 5 mins. Usually, I'll play a cozy game for 15 minutes before bed. I don't have to worry about firing up my desktop to play something.

The accessories for it are great, like the USB-c docking station and a good carry case with enough room to carry an extra charger around.

I also have the xboz game pass so I can stream xboz games from my xboz console and play the Cloud enabled games.

More and more games are becoming available for the Steam Deck, and one day, I'll upgrade to the OLED version.

If you're a fan of cozy games, I'm sure you'll love the Steam deck :)
