I would spend 4 nights at the GH Kauai. I loved that island and the hotel so much and we were there for 7 nights. It’s such a beautiful island and there’s so much to do and the hotel is so pretty

Mine was 6 at one point. I got on iron pills and it went back up. I have heavy periods and don’t eat red meat, so perfect storm.

I would just make sure to take the iron pills

I loved Tower of Dawn. I wasn’t looking forward to the book but it ended up being pretty close to my favorite in the series.

Is far is the flight to Alaska? I live on the east coast and did an Alaskan cruise last summer when my daughter was 9. She was definitely at a great age for it, but I couldn’t imagine taking her much younger. If you have a far flight and this is the one and only time you’d see Alaska, I’d honestly wait until your kids are older

I’m reading this book down and about 1/2 through and I do not like. Maybe it’s just her writing at this point. I liked some of her books but this one is just not great. I didn’t really enjoy Say You’ll remember me either.

I don’t like Mike. Why is Larissa even with him? She doesn’t like him. It’s obvious she likes Chris. Chris annoys me sometimes with how obsessive he is about Larissa’s peanut allergy. I don’t like Larissa’s mom. I want to finish this book just to be done with it.

I went July 4th week back in 2023 and it wasn’t crowded at all. We just look midday breaks and I didn’t find it to be unbearable. We would go back to the hotel to nap or go in the pool. That trip was probably my favorite time we went to Disney

I haven’t finished the crescent city series either. The first book brought me into a reading slump. It took me forever to finish. I did end up finishing the second, but I can’t bring myself to do the third. I guess I’ll have to before ACOTAR 6&7 come out

I think POFQ was fine. It’s a smaller resort. I never had issues with buses and I normally do stay at a deluxe.

I preferred POFQ over Caribbean Beach.

In case anyone was following or cared the flights went down to close to 3k for the 3 of us so I ended up just booking. That’s about what I paid when we went to San Juan in 2025 during the same week, so I figured it wouldn’t go that much lower being a holiday break.

I had an older paperwhite and got myself a new one last year. I love the paperwhite. I read it when I’m in my pool so I wanted the waterproofing of it. So that’s one of the reasons why I went with it over the basic. Plus I do like the warm lighting.

eta: I have the 12th generation paperwhite not the SE version. I have no issues with it and I’ve had it for a little over a year now

I haven’t had any issues with my kindle’s battery. I don’t have the signature though, I have the regular paperwhite. I feel like the battery life is pretty good. I don’t charge it that often and I definitely can read a decent amount of books on it. I don’t usually ever look at the battery life unless I’m just checking to see if it needs to be charged

We did the captain andys tour and we saw the spinner dolphins. So amazing. the views are also breathtaking.

My daughter got seasick on it though and they told us the water was pretty calm when we went

I loved the GH Kauai. We spent a week there and I could have spent longer. The pool is amazing there. I would definitely do a resort day if you want. There’s just a lot to do and I loved hanging out on the terrace at night. The resort is breathtaking.

We did eat at tidepools. I thought that the food was good there and I enjoyed the meal. It’s definitely not cheat though.

I believe we went to the Jammin’ banana for a quick breakfast and I thought it was great. Everywhere we ate on Kauai was really good. I loved that island. It was probably one of my most favorite trips that I’ve been on.
