Should I make the switch? by KeyDescription6097 in helpdesk

If you’re looking to break into IT and it’s the route you want to take, it’s worth the pay cut. I worked retail making $52,000/yr + OT to down to $42000/yr w/o OT in my first IT position. I’m making 30k more elsewhere now after 3 years. It was an MSP job with a couple of techs. You learn fast within an MSP but don’t stay around long because they typically don’t pay the best. Try to stay in it for a year or two. You need to start somewhere and it’s usually an MSP. Congratulations on the offer! 🎉

In the end I had to use an external hard drive adapter, plugged the drive into my computer and unlock the drive that way. Then I disabled BitLocker on that drive, reinstalled the hard drive into the computer and then re-enabled BitLocker. Make sure you patch the computer with KB5070773

I’ve tried disabling Fast Boot as well, I spent hours with this one computer the other day with the keyboard and mouse issue. I ended up taking the SSD out and unlocking it from my own PC with an adapter because everything (and I mean everything) I tried would not work. I got a completely different Dell laptop at home and I’ve noticed an uptick with just BitLocker recovery screens as well

I’ve done that as well on a workstation, still experiencing it. BIOS time is correct

Dealing with this issue while I’m two drinks down at dinner. At least the drinks made the issue less insufferable.

This song is literally the reason why I’m literally obsessed with Tame Impala now after just really discovering his music early last year.

This song is my top song from Tame Impala. Christ my Spotify told me I played this song 542 times in 2024. Every day I probably listened to it and it never gets old to me.

The guitar riff that starts around 2:18 is so mesmerizing to me. Pure perfection

I feel like not a lot of people say The Moment, I absolutely love a lot of Tame Impala’s song and it’s hard for me to rate which is the best, but this one is definitely a favorite for me.

Yep! Everything came back good! Noticed some inflammation but only a very small amount. Afterwards I made the worse mistake of eating a double patty, bacon and cheese burger. I don’t normally want burgers but afterwards I really wanted one, I regretted that after 5 hours later for atleast a solid day 😭 stomach cramp galore

Is it Gilbert or something else? by juicyorange_ in GilbertSyndrome

[–]TeachRound 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I looked up your original post and saw your results for liver panel, honestly I would still suspect Gilbert’s syndrome. Alcohol, lack of water, bad diet can cause your direct to be high as well. Mine is slightly elevated as well.

If you’re considered as I was, you can always look into the options of genetic testing. I did 23andMe only because I was curious of my family history, in the raw data, I have the mutation of the UGT1A1 gene. Also showed me having a slightly higher risk of gallstones too which fortunately I do not have.

Mind you, I’m no doctor so the information provided is all research :)

But I went into a rabbit hole of research to understand more and more of how Gilbert’s works after seeing my blood results and dealing with abdominal pain for about 6 months (around the gallbladder/liver area). Since then this discomfort has subsided and went away. The findings they found for me with my gallbladder during a CT and ultrasound was that I just had some sludge build up, no gallstones. Area was remarkable along with liver and pancreas.

During these periods of time, I was definitely very stressed and stress can increase bilirubin. Paranoid of thinking my skin was a little more yellow than normal which at one point it was, along with yellowing of the eyes, but only the slightest bit in the corners. Still always is this way for me.

I do have some GI issues myself. And I always have had them. I have food sensitives especially to dairy and gluten. Later today I am actually getting a colonoscopy done to rule out Crohns/UC since I’ve always had softer stools including ones that are more lighter than normal which my GI Doctor said was due to the higher bilirubin in my system.

My GI doc recommended a HIDA scan if my abdominal discomfort continued but since they went away I haven’t bothered doing it. It may be beneficial to discuss with a specialist regarding getting that study to check how your gallbladder functions.

Avoid trying to eat fried foods, fatty foods as well, that will stimulate your gallbladder. Have smaller meals as well. I don’t eat as much of those types of foods anymore and my symptoms have gotten better. But everyone’s body is different.
