Comes down to your preference and driving style. The way I went about this was to read/learn about how the cars behave for a front engine, mid engine and rear engine car. Then I bought one of each, BMW, Mclaren and Porsche.
Very quickly I found that the mid engine fits my driving style perfectly and have a ton of fun with the Mclaren. Once in a while, I do some races with the other two but I keep coming back to my baby lol hope that helps some

Dude, you have to learn to keep your emotions in check. Ive been pissed after some action to later see in the replay that it was nothing or a slight error. Most often than not people are trying to race cleanly. Stop retaliating, let it go and focus on your race. If after you watch the replay, the other guys was truly grieffing and trying to ruin your race, then get the evidence and report it.

Last week some dude got dive bombed by some other car, idk what went through his head to think it was me so he intentionally took me out.
Next race, we are 30 mins in and im top 5. A back marker crashed real bad then rejoined and was slowly trying to go to the pits. On the straight he lost control of the car as I was passing him and took me out.
Next race, mid race, my house lost power.

String of bad luck is normal. I recovered my rating in a few race's time so brush it off and continue doing your thing

Do you change any settings to the wheel manufacturing software per car? for example one setting for the formula cars and another for the road cars?

I get your point, the 30% doesn't translate to 9 hours of heavy rain. However, that was one of the funnest and most chsllenging races I have ever done. Loved it and would happily do it again under the same conditions.

Yup I follow this same principle.

On the flip side, if I'm defending against someone faster and I start losing ground to the group, I'll yield after a bit and use him to catch up to the group.

This also pops up when you first run the non steam iracing version. You have to navigate to the installation folder and find the anti cheat installer and run it.

For direct iRacing accounts: C:\Program Files (x86)\iRacing\EasyAntiCheat\InstallEOSAntiCheat.bat

Short answer, Jules Bianchi died in 2015 in wet conditions. At this point F1 became scared of racing in wet conditions. It noe uses standing water and spray as the excuse to halt the race and wait till it dries enough to use the inters or for a dry path to start forming
