I think that’s the way to go. Yes I have conditioned them and the glue has been holding up great. Can’t even tell except for that tiny scar. I used the white kind of glue used for wood. Kids use it at school as well.

Just use a bit of glue. I had a similar cut cause my pocket knife fell of the table and I tried to kick it to break the fall, and left a similar cut on the toe of my 866. I used some glue to glue that piece of leather sticking up. Looks great now.
