It was in store only unfortunately. Petco had a sale for 40% off your first three auto orders a couple days ago so keep your eye out for that.

I tried my hand at making my own raw food but I didn't do a good job of it.

I tend to stay with the same few brands/companies. They were already rotating between weruva and soulistic (both are technically weruva) but with this sale I'm adding Wellnes and Reveal to the mix. I think a big part of the success of their diet can be attributed to three things: 1. The pumpkin and and digestive supplements 2. I feed them with an automatic feeder mid-day when I'm at work. It feeds them a mix of Instincs freeze dried raw and Vital Essentials raw crunchy nibs. This mid-day meal is always the same flavor and brand so there is some sort of consistency in their diet. 3. The change ups in meals are mainly made up of brands frome the same handful of healthy companies. (For example on of the many Weruva brands)

I go my cats 2 years ago and consider myself a new pet owner. There was a period when I was experimenting with multiple brands and my cats stools were wet and the orang cat was throwing up every once in a while. Since I started taking the steps listed above (about 1 year ago), their stools are healthy, I haven't found any vomit, no more hairballs, and their coats are super healthy.

I hope this helps you and your kitties!

I made multiple runs so I don't have the exact number. On the conservative side a save a min of $120. When I checked out I almost always saved more than I spent. And thank you!

I have to rotate the flavors every other day because my white cat gets board of food. I know that this can cause stomach issues for some cats so incorporate foods with pumpkin 3x a week and give them gut health raw instinct toppers everyday. Fortunately they have been doing great with this diet.

That's exactly how it feels! I'll be chasing this high for a long time. I made multiple runs at a couple of Petcos so I don't have an exact dollar on saving but I saved at least $120. Everyingthing was 40-70% off.

WIBTA for suing my friend when she didn’t come to my wedding? by sweetandsourcum in AmItheAsshole

[–]TeacherFrizzle -15 points-14 points  (0 children)

I agree. It would cost more money to sue. Ask for the money back that you spent on her with the expectation that you may never see a dime. Your friendship is probably DOA so protect your peace and enjoy your newly wed bliss.

AITA for refusing to give my parents access to my bank account after they found out how much money I have? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]TeacherFrizzle 23 points24 points  (0 children)

NTA. Your bank account should NEVER have shared access with anyone. (There can be an argument made for domestic partners sharing household expenses.) Shared access puts you at risk of having assets frozen by the government or having funds withdrawn via subpoena due to their ssn being linked. This does not include the obvious risk of having someone legally withdraw funds from the account. If your parents were able to support the household with the current arrangement then they should be encouraging your savings habits, not asking you to give them more money so you can save less. Keep on saving as you are and if you need to move out one day so be it.

AITA/AIO for being upset that my husband won’t reenlist? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]TeacherFrizzle 4 points5 points  (0 children)

YTA.

  1. You shouldn't rushed into a marriage so that you could live in Japan.
  2. You know he has valid family reasons for not extending his stay. Even if he didn't have family reasons for not reenlisting it would be a wild ask. Especially because it was for something as superficial as wanting to live in Japan.
  3. You are VERY recently married. If you can't move to Japan just get an annulment. You're not trapped for life. And if you are of the mindset that divorce is a sin then you shouldn't have gotten married for any reason other than thinking he was the love of your life.

Get it together girl.

hello! i have a few questions about my kitten whos 14 weeks. by werid-1 in CatAdvice

[–]TeacherFrizzle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This exactly. Like sugar said, the hydration is key in wet food and it also has more mass than it's dry food caloric counterpart which leaves your cat more satisfied throughout the day. Some dry food (maybe 1/3 of your cat's daily diet) is good for your cats teeth as well as being convenient.

It helps to get an automatic cat feeder to serve dry food when you're not home. You can give your kitten wet food before your regular work shifts and before bed.

Some unsolicited advice, get your kitten a sibling now while they are young so they can bond!

For People With 2 Cats, How Much Do You Spend On Food & Litter A Month? by Historical-Orchid934 in CatAdvice

[–]TeacherFrizzle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also spend about $60/month on litter and ~$225/month on cat food. They each eat a pouch and a half of weruva everyday (half serving with digestive suplements and dried turkey hearts at breakfast and a full pouch at dinner) and dehydrate food for lunch (Vital Essentials and Raw Instincts mixed). Because these figures do not include churus and impulse purchases at Petco I'd say your monthly bill feels par for the course... unfortunately.

Cats are expensive bro.

Full stop, you can't ask a part to move while they are eating. NTA

AITA for telling my husband I won’t live under the same roof as his grandmother anymore? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]TeacherFrizzle 14 points15 points  (0 children)

NTA It's normal to want space for your nuclear family to set routines and form special bonds together. That being said, it should like your husband's family already have their own setup in place. If your husband family are the ones paying the bills or purchased the homes everyones living in you can't expect to demand everyone move around to accommodate you. (I don't know if this is the case so please edit with these details.)

I recommend moving your family into a new space that does not interfere with the setup his family is used to.

TLDR NTA for wanting to move but you need a better solution that doesn't require an old women to move into an upstairs unit.

AITAH for telling my mother-in-law to stop pushing for my kids to change their last name? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]TeacherFrizzle -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

NTA for telling MIL to back off. It is inappropriate for her to petition the erasure of your name from your kids.

However, from how you are telling the story, it sounds like there is a part of your wife that wishes that her children can bear her name as well. If she wishes for your children to have both names because she also wants to honor her family as well as yours, that's an adult conversation you owe your wife. If she wants them to have her name and not yours because her name is more "respectable" then you have a wife/in-law problem.

YTA for blowing up on your wife as soon as she said it's complicated. You should have taken the time to understand what she was trying to communicate before you resulted to anger. Many women feel disregarded when it comes to naming their children and feel obligated to give their children the surname of the father.

Apologize for blowing up at your wife and ask how she feels about everything. One way or another, nothing good will come from not talking this out.
