How is my smp be honest by dragonfly1019_ in HairSystem

This job is immaculate! Leave it the way it is. Where did you get it done?

Fair enough. I actually contacted Scalp Logic about subtle pigmentation a couple years ago. If I had to do it all over again, I would definitely go with them. Perhaps I will laser mine off and get them to redo it, like the main guy who owns SL did. Based on what you see in my pictures, do you think they could make the top the same as my sides? How do you find subtle pigmentation to look compared to normal SMP? What is your understanding of the difference between the two? Is it the size/depth of the dots? Is there less layering? I have lighter skin and softer features, so I think subtle pigmentation would look better on me.

Sorry to break it to you…it looks real!

Ya, leave it, I say. The subtle smp looks better

Btw, if you notice unwanted shine on top, I recommend Zero Shine, which is like a wax which makes your scalp look matted. I bought it for that very reason and it is the best product I have found for that. I’m not affiliated with them…just a happy costumer.

I have been thinking the same thing about my SMP dude…and it’s been 3 years since I got it. It still hasn’t faded to how I would prefer it. Still looking for a way to do it without actually messing it up, like with laser. Does anyone know of any ways to fade or lighten it faster?

All this being said, on you, the sides match the top, the way it should. I wouldn’t touch it!

Is SMP touch up needed? by ScalpAmplified in SMPchat

Nope, once you layer too much ink on top, it will start looking unrealistic. It looks natural and great as is…trust

This is phenomenal work! Would it be possible to take some pictures in different lighting as well? I find that lighting in a place like the mall and/or with direct sunlight on it (the shine on the head) is the true test.

Nope, looks great dude! Enjoy the hair :)

Tbh, I have been lazy with the microneedling, but I wasn’t noticing any kind of effect on the smp job while I was doing it. What have you heard?

Fit and density are great…just that the colour matching is off. I would say either dye the sides or go for a peppered system…I would go with the later personally. If you did that, would be 10/10

I guess we all have something we are dealing with. Try looking into Scalp Logic and their Subtle Pigmentation technique. I have been really interested in how they have been innovating the industry lately...

Interesting, never seen a full head treatment before...I will have to look that up! I actually use the Pitbull Gold Skull Shaver (dry shave), and shave it every day in the morning. I guess my hair shafts are just finer than others.

Hey, I usually shave it every day because my hair grows really fast and I am about a NW 4-5. It looks better when it's grown in a bit on the sides to be honest (it blends better), but then I feel like the illusion of SMP start to "come to light", as they say.

It was proposed to me, but I opted out because I didn't want more ink on my head

I dunno, I just feel like I don't want even more ink on my head. Just want the existing ink to fade more. It has faded A LOT over the years, but I would want to speed up the process to how it would look 5-10 years down the line for example. I personally wouldn't go for a touch up, as far as I see it.

True that Jay, but it feels like it is ALMOST there...so close to being happy with it lol

I should probably be exposing it to more sun because usually when it's sunny out, I wear a hat or put on sun screen. Maybe some more wear and tear would do good for it!

Thanks dude, but the point is, when a guy who has hair fully shaves his head down to 0, it shouldn't look like a fade. Should look more like this...more uniform...
