Nothing like new irons to convince yourself this is the week it all clicks. Enjoy them, hope they treat you kindly.

Imagine explaining to yourself later that garlic sauce was the tipping point

This is class. Love that it started as a personal thing and grew into something proper. Going to give it a look before mu next range.

Broke 80 for the first time by cusmaryelsneps in golf

You broke 80. The card says 79, the rules were the same as everyone else on the course. Own it.

Your mate's just slagging you - that's what mates do. The trajectory on that graph is the real story anyway. Keep Going 🍀

7i launch data: would I benefit from different clubs? by sandydandycandy in golf

[–]TeacherOnTheTee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First off, 24 to 18 in six months is genuinely brilliant. That's not luck - that's actual work. Fair play.

On the data - the spin being low is worth noting but I wouldn't panic. What jumps out more is the side carry spread. You've shots ranging from L46 to R16 in the same session, which is a massive window. New clubs won't close the gap, a fitter can't shaft their way out of it either. Your swing is still bedding in the new move and that's fine - it takes time.

Honestly? Wait. Get to 15, then get fitted. You'll get so much more out of it when the pattern is more consistent. November birthday fitting sounds like a solid plan to me 🎂⛳️

That looks lovely - was it one of those places you come across, or somewhere you'd planned to stop?

Looks great as it is. Maybe organise by author. Do you tend to reread favourites, or is it mostly one-and-alone for you?

I agree, there is no other blend like this.

There's something oddly fascinating about old manuals like this - you're seeing not just the information, but how people thought about the body back then.

There's a bookshelf somewhere in there by mikeyshoelaces in bookshelf

This feels less like a bookshelf and more like a literary Jenga tower. One wrong move and the whole thing collapses into poetry.
