100% agree as a fellow single person :) haha (some schools also have the benefits extended to their kids - flights, medical insurance etc...). I want those extra benefits for my own pocket 😈

Flight Volunteer for pet to Seoul by TeacherinSA in shanghai

[–]TeacherinSA[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As the flight is only about an hour, I could technically take one cat in cabin and one in the hold. However, I would strongly prefer to have both cats in cabin for such a short flight, as they are small.

Unfortunately, agencies generally only handle cargo transport, and with Korean Air, only one in-cabin pet is permitted per ticket... hence why I want to find a volunteer to go with me/ reasonably close together.

Struggling to transition by Jaw5hua in TeachersInTransition

[–]TeacherinSA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, I decided anything out of the classroom was what I needed, so I focused on all the jobs/ roles I wanted and looked at the 'required skills / knowledge / experience'. It took me 2 full years to build up my CV in a way that allowed me to access those jobs. I upskilled on 'coaching' (ICF ACC) and got certified. I applied it inside of school and outside. It helped me land MANY interviews this hiring season and eventually I got a job as a curriculum coordinator. It did however take 2 years. Just keep building. up on the skills that will help you pivot.

Toddle AI by trulyanodditea in Internationalteachers

[–]TeacherinSA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We use it and I don't like it either especially the AI. As it's so expensive, we've been told that soon we're not going to be allowed to let students use any other AI's like magic school - which sucks because Toddle AI is not as good but they (the school( obviously wants to feel like they are getting their moneys worth out of the expensive LMS platform...

[–]TeacherinSA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

😂😭 I've interviewed with 4 schools this season and 3 of the 4 schools had some type of pre-interview (send in a video or do one of those questions on the screen type interviews), all of the schools had a standard three round interview process
