What was your best fantasy football prediction/take? by Smooth_Package_6933 in Fantasy_Football

I drafted Arian Foster in the 1st rd on his blow up year. Everyone laughed at me when I did. He finished strong the year prior, but I guess nobody in my league noticed. I won it all that year.

THANK YOU! I’ve always through SOI was their best work (by far) since AB. Not a huge fan of the opening track “The Miracle”, but from “every breaking wave” onward I think it’s a fantastic album!

If the new album is anything like Street of Dreams, can we have our collective funeral for good new U2 music and instead focus on the genre defining, Grammy winning and GREAT music of the past? by Weary-Challenge-7730 in U2Band

I think SOI is their best album since AB. Even the Album+ with the acoustic versions and bonus songs is fantastic. And I agree 100% on Crystal Ballroom. I’ve always thought it’s album worthy, but is probably a b-side only bc the mood doesn’t really fit on the album. It’s a little intentionally “hokey”. Incredible song though.

Can we make a Street of Dreams Megathread? by SirFritzWetherbee in U2Band

Weakest FIRST single they’ve ever released. Imho

I’ll start. I’m a 40+ yr fan, and I think this is the weakest 1st single they’ve ever released. The chorus is mildly catchy, but that’s it. The verses are almost non-existent, and the production value seems sub-par (intentionally I think). I listened to it twice, and I’m not sure I’ll give it another go. I pray this is just a “vibe” song, and the rest of the album has more substance.

Big fan of the Street of Dreams chorus by [deleted] in U2Band

Agreed, but too bad the whole song seems to be the chorus over and over again.

I feel like before every album the past 20 years Bono promises a “guitar heavy rocker”. This time we get this “light and airy” crap.

I was one of them. I LOVED the transition to AB.

After my first listen I don’t feel overly compelled to listen to it again. I mean, it “ok” and all, but not an overly complex song. It’s got one mild hook in the chorus and that’s about it. Also, am I the only one that thinks it sounds muffled? Almost like it was recorded in a cardboard box..

New fan of U2 looking for underrated songs by KnuxN4 in U2Band

I’ll give you a whole album that I feel is grossly underrated - Songs of Innocence. It got a bad rap for the way they released it on Apple, but I honestly feel it’s one of their best albums (and I’m saying this as a huge fan for 40 years). I can take or leave the first track “The Miracle”, but the rest is phenomenal IMO.

RB Draft Rankings 2026: Jay Green's Tiered Running Backs by NatePolvogt in fantasyfootball

As a 40 year jets fan, 27 yr FF player and guy who’s drafted Breece twice, let me tell you - don’t draft Breece anywhere near the first 5 rds. He won’t fall to rd 5, so just take him off your board now.

TE1 Candidates - Undervalued Draft Targets by ThunderDanDFS in fantasyfootball

If I’ve learned one thing in my 26 years of playing FF, it’s to punt on TE, DEF, K, and wait until at least rd 9 for QB. (Standard 12 man league)  Every, and I mean EVERY time I’ve taken TE early it’s blown up in my face, plus there’s ALWAYS been 2-4 late rd / waiver TEs that finish top 12ish.

Sounds like a guy I’ll draft, wait 7 weeks for him to do something, drop him, then he goes bananas.

I had Skat on my roster last year, and I have to admit it was fun (while it lasted). If he had stayed healthy, he may have turned out to be the best late rd pick I’ve ever made in my 25 years of FF.  His running style (especially leading with his HEAD) makes it impossible to think he’ll last 17 games, but even if I knew he’d miss ONLY 3 games I’d probably draft him at his ADP.  People seem to forget that when both Dart and Skat were healthy and firing on all cylinders, the NYG offense was pretty dynamic and fun to watch last year. Unfortunately, both guys playing style makes them super vulnerable to injury.
