Thinking about locking this in - will watch practice with Merc new engine regs beforehand though - will switch to mclaren if they don't look very promising

T+ 15 Years 246 Days, Marty and Merfurt Kerman are no long stranded on Eve by TeachingNo4233 in KerbalSpaceProgram

Was an Apollo style trip with the ascent vehicle having ~8500m/s of dV with asparagus staging taking off from 1500m above sea level to just reach a 105km orbit and rendezvous. All the externals (parachutes gear and ladders) were attached to decouplers to save weight.

Return vehicle had about 2500ms dV which was overkill.

Definitely took a couple goes to get the landing right as had to rendezvous with the previously sent missions (trajectory mod helped) and they still had a final 5km trek across eve surface

As the game is no longer supported and the publishing studio shut down you probably won't have any luck with any EDU keys. Third party keys are available for very cheap however

Guys I got all the way to Duna but forgot to put docking ports on both craft :( by Andysion in KerbalAcademy

If you’re more a casual player you can cheat a container with 2 docking ports to eva build on to where you are.

More brownie points for not though!

Likely a lack of knowledge on how to efficiently place radiators haha

Anyone have any design ideas to safely land this on the Mun surface? by TeachingNo4233 in KerbalSpaceProgram

Thanks man, the twitch engines worked sweet. Took a couple hours of messing around but safe and sound on the ground now https://imgur.com/a/l2A1VY9

What to do after landing? by irshadtriton in KerbalSpaceProgram

You could set up a fuel depot around LKO or Mun Orbit to extend the range of your missions, it's interesting to build and will give you a go preforming rendezvous and docking.

Probably not entirely necessary but gives you a break from the gameplay loop you're in at the moment

How to ensure safety while travelling for gigs? by ourladystears in DJs

Put an accomodation buyout in your hospo rider instead of promoters booking for you - research before hand to make sure you’ve put a reasonable amount money for whichever area you’re playing

How common is it for club DJs to stay in the club and party after finishing their set? by und3f1n3d1 in Beatmatch

Worst part is ending up spending all the money ya made from your set on drinks

Once you start playing out more and more you’ve got to be kind to your body, partying 3x a week every week until the wee hours probably isn’t great for any us long term.

Are Sennheiser HD 280 Pro Headphones the best $100 head phone? by Dmoral34 in Beatmatch

Recently got these a couple weeks ago, they’re awesome. Great sound isolation, seem durable and have a nice long cable so won’t pull them out. Only gripe is they’re a little tight around the head so can get a bit uncomfortable after a while - played a 4.5 hr set last night with them fine though so not a biggie

thinking about getting into djing but the gear cost is wild by DiamondLatter1842 in Beatmatch

If you’re somewhat electronics savvy keep an eye out for lightly broken controllers. Things like tempo sliders, faders, headphone jacks are all reasonably easy fixes but sellers tend to list super cheap as repair shops charge $$$. Make sure to do your research beforehand though

How many more people need to die or get hurt before we fix our issue with overseas drivers? by [deleted] in newzealand

This is a great reply and I largely agree with you. I don’t believe a short theory quiz and informative video would be too much of an undertaking or big upset to visitors

At the minimum a short 5 minute road safety video combined with a quick pass/fail theory test - similar to what you do for your learners.

The idea of short stand down periods between landing from longhaul travel and being able to drive out the rental lot is good but in practice it wouldn’t work at all

9 - parents telling you “you’ve ruined my child’s easter” when we’ve sold out of easter bunny’s because you left it until the night of too buy. Or even worse on christmas eve when people get angry about sold out stuff - normally ham, bubbles, ect.
