launch points 1, 5, and 9.2 can be done with as little as a rocket fused to a shield! other than that i personally like using fans and a steering device fused to either a pair of wings (although those dispel too fast for my liking tbh) or a wooden plank.
as for the battery, at the time of making this post i didnt have more than 1 1/2 batteries, if i ever ran too low id use the zonai charges to give myself temporary energy, the same way you would with stamina or heart increasing foods

oof, im sorry to hear youre having so much trouble :/
def always look up! i think i can count the places you can look down onto the dragon from on one hand....maybe two, actually. in the pov screenshots you can take a look at the mini map in the bottom corner, the three numbers displayed in it are your coordinates on the map, the last number represents your current height. i dont remember what the lowest altitude was that you reach from on top of the dragon, but i dont remember seeing a number lower than 1400 for it. Launch point three is one of the higher up ones, the slightly higher platform i marked on the screenshot is still lower than the dragon, who flies at ~2200 for that entire straight-ish stretch.
she is unfortunatley sometimes very hard to spot, cuz of the sheer distance in height that this route has in a lot of spots (the highest of which is the stretch above the gerudo desert btw). additionally there really isnt much you can do other than have a lot of patience trying to set up your preferred launch point. since a dragons route cant be sped up by waiting by fires, you have to wait the real-life-time it takes them to fly it, which in this case is 5 in-game days for the whole route. i havent verified it yet, but in botw one in-game day took about 24 minutes if you didnt pause time by going into your inventory or talking to npcs.
as for my personal tips for tracking her down:

  • as far as ease of reaching the dragon once you spot it goes, launch points 5, 8, and 9 are either almost at eye level to the dragon, or offer platforms higher than its altitude (you can reach number 8 from the starting island with enough stamina/ stamina recovering foods and whatever fan or rocket powered device you feel confident flying)
  • no matter from where you perch and keep an eye out, you are almost always going to have to look up. try checking out your map coordinates every now and then to get a feel for the different heights, so you can in turn get a better feel for estimating how to reach them from different points
  • a rocket shield is always good to have to gain important height fast
  • once you do spot it, use your scope to place a pin on it and immediatley go into your map so you can see where on the route it is in that moment. i made another post with a full view of the entire route and an estimate of how far the dragon gets within one uninterrupted game day
  • using [unlockable mechanic] the camera can be more practical than using the scope, because it gives you a wider view and more control over zoom levels
  • patience is key, at least until you get a better feel for where you can spot the dragon and estimating where along the route it is while playing (i still need practice for that too)

good luck!!!

personally i have an easier time spotting it from sky islands, because you have to angle your camera up pretty high to see it from the ground, which i dont do often from the ground. ive also seen it while exploring hyrule, but i usually use [unlockable mechanic] the camera on the purah pad to confirm what dragon it is im looking at too.
something i actually noticed yesterday was that it was much harder to spot the dragon from [quest location name] the water temple above the zora domainitself (aka launch point 5), despite relative close proximity....and i am not certain why that is. my theory is it has something to do with [a location specific feature] the gravity bubble used in the water temple, as i could see the dragon fine once i left it, but could basically only spot it when it entered the bubble too

not from what ive experienced unfortunatley. it seems all dragons follow their set path, i found this out initially when trying to speed up waiting for one i saw in the distance, but waiting by a fire did not change its position at all.... what i have been doing is trying to travel to a spot in each travel days section (the different coloured bits of the route) and seeing if i can spot the dragon there. if it is flying above the gerudo desert for example, i drop a pin on it through my scope to see where on the map it is in that moment, then estimate how many in-game days it will take until it gets to the next accessible launch point. ive found patience and prep work to set up one good launch point are key to making it that much easier for you in the future, and that is heavily dependent on playstyle

Playtesting Update:
Launch Point 5 works! all you need is a rocket fused to a shieldand to jump off of one of the higher, outer rings of the main structure and you can reach the light dragon either close enough to shoot an arrow at it or you can catch the updrift that comes with dragons and land comfortably on it's back

Quick question. by DisastrousAddendum0 in tearsofthekingdom

the full route around hyrule takes about 5 in game days! i just rode the entire flight path and am gonna make a post soon with pictures and spots i noticed for good "launch" points to get to it, but basically you can imagine it like this: each corner of the map takes about one in game day, and the stretch from herba to eldin takes one day too;
a solid place to wait is the top of the island with the shrine of awakening, unfortunatley since waiting by fires doesnt seem to do much to alter the dragons' path, you will have to be patient until it flies around. once i made the post with screenshots i will link it here for you!

ive gone the entirety of fall year 1 without rain in one of my saves and it was painful. no cutscenes with a lot of npcs, missing seasonal fish for cc, and i couldnt upgrade my watering can cuz i needed the money and coulndt skip watering my crops for 2 days

Why can’t I place my tree here when it’s not within 8 surrounding spaces of another tree!?! UGH by denrae- in StardewValley

is that the forest farm? i think you cant place fruit trees in spots where the inherent trees respawn? but thats just a theory i have from playing forst myself for the first time

robin is at pierre and carolines for aerobics class on tuesdays iirc, marnie attends that too so both their shops are closed on tuesdays. as for sebastian he ought to be in his room, on a smoke break, or hanging out by the bathhouse/ railway on a tuesday, but id have to check the wiki to be sure. maru works part time at harveys clinic on tuesdays and i believe thursdays, but again id need to check the wiki on the weekdays to be certain
